Edinburgh City Centre2 nights4.0 star property9.2/10 - Wonderful (1,002 reviews)"This is our third time staying at the Scotsman. This time we selected a director room with city view, we stayed in room 702, it had wonderful views and a dining table surrounded by windows. We also chose to include breakfast, which I would also recommend considering. We have stayed in hotels in "new town" before also, but it wasn't the same. Different atmosphere and not as walkable. Staff are extremely helpful."Reviewed November 6, 2026Return • Dublin (DUB) - Edinburgh (EDI)DUB - EDI • Direct EDI - DUB • Direct - Aparthotel Adagio Edinburgh Royal Mile

"Warm welcome, excellent breakfast, comfortable room. The driveway needs a bit of repair work, though!"
"We were very excited to be staying at Broomhall. It is nicely located near the Wallace Monument and Stirling. There is nothing around Broomhall as far as shops and restaurants or pubs. The bathrooms are updated, but the flooring (carpet) is very antiquated and had a few stains in our room. The Scottish breakfast was good and the fish and chips. The pub located on the premise was cute and Logan was very pleasant. There is a lot of potential for this hotel, but overall needs updating."

"The room was not cleaned day to day. Breakfast looked and tasted like it was cooked yesterday. Because we booked through Expedia, we were told we would have to pay extra for use of the leisure facilities. The place looks tired and in need of some care and attention. All that said, a great location. And a tip, if you are going to need car parking, book it online ahead of time and it'll cost half to a third what the hotel will charge you."
