We had a problem with our booked reservation and scrambled to find accommodation for a week in Amsterdam. We were able to book the last room at this hotel and what a pleasant surprise it was. The location is ideal - in the centre of it all. The hotel though not fancy, is very clean, room was a good size and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was an added bonus. Thank you !

The twin beds were not very big or comfortable, and the mattresses tended to slide off. The room was not very well ventilated, so became hot and humid at times - opening the window led to excessive noise overnight. The experience overall was just about ok, however. The staff were decent and the selection of breakfast adequate for a few days stay. The location is also very handy being near Centraal station.

The hotel is charming and just across a canal from the central train station - very convient. The desk staff were friendly. The building is a little quirky, and the room was smaller, but adequate for 1 or even 2 guests. The bed was comfortable, but some loud hooligans passed through the alleyway outside overnight. (Be prepared to some Street noise.) The bathroom was very simple, but again, adequate for a short budget stay. The breakfast provided was great with a nice variety of foods. I'd consider staying again for future visits.

The hotel location is amazing, you can walk anywhere to the most common places. The breakfast was great as well. The cleaning was ok although they did not change the bed sheet daily, but generally it was net and clean. Highly recommended, I would say excellent hotel.

This is not your usual style of hotel but its uniqueness is its charm. Great location, on the edge of the Red Light District action, across the square from Central Station & the main Amsterdam transit hub, canal tours, etc. breakfast was good, with a decent selection and the bar attached a great place to chill & chat while watching the world flow by. We will definitely go back to this hotel if we are lucky enough to get to Amsterdam again.

The staff was exceptional! Always cheerful, friendly, very helpful Breakfast was fabulous, many choices and well stocked. Hotel close to transportation and convenient to some attractions . Enjoyable stay! A tiny bit warm in the room. We could have used a couple extra hand towels. We would go back if opportunity arose! Easy wifi connectivity.

The hotel staff in the morning breakfast was excellent. There is a nice variation of breakfast, including hot coffee and tea croissants meats, eggs, etc. the hotel is very close to the train station if you want to do day trips. I had a single room which was very small, no view and very warm for September. You can hear noise from other rooms Especially if they have their window open. Remember, it is only a three star hotel and I thought it was reasonably priced for what we got. It was nice to grab a hot breakfast prior to heading out for a day of travel. There is an elevator.

Location, friendly staff and reasonable prices are the positives. Stairs in the rooms and stairs just to get to the elevator make luggage handling very difficult. Not a good place for seniors.

We had a wonderful stay. The breakfast was very good with plenty of options to start the day. The location was excellent, making it easy to explore Amsterdam and access public transportation. The accommodation was comfortable, and the staff/host was friendly and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to other travelers.

Our stay here was okay. We knew the hotel was old before arriving, so we didn't expect luxury. It was the only place available for the night, and while it was affordable, it still felt a bit expensive for how dated the room was. I would still recommend them, though! Our room actually had a really nice view of the canal and the Amsterdam Centraal Station. The location is absolutely the best part. It is only a 5-minute walk from the train station and within walking distance to everything we wanted to see in the city. The staff were also incredibly nice and helpful—they even stored our luggage for the entire day after we checked out so we could explore without dragging bags around. Breakfast was just okay, nothing fancy. The only real issue was the noise. Because it's an old building, you can hear every single footstep, creak, and stomp from the room upstairs. We managed to get through it since our expectations weren't too high, but if you stay here, I highly recommend asking for a higher floor if possible to avoid having people walking above you.

If this is your first time in Amsterdam or you are nervous about finding your hotel from the train this is a perfect location. If you want something a little quieter you may not like it. That’s an old building but room is clean and tidy inside. Staffs do house keeping daily to renew towels and they all very friendly. Excellent location which just 5 mins walk from Ams central station. Recommended!
