This hotel has a wonderful location with its subtle elegance. It is European which starts at the welcome.
The area is full of restaurants and shop's outside the tourist inner ring. My advice is buy yourself a 24 , 48 or 72 hour tram and your only 15 to 20 minutes from the center.
My son and I felt the staff were above and beyond helpful during our stay!
We had a great wedding at this venue, with a welcome plate of brownies and macarons and a personal letter from the manager. We arranged a boat to arrive at the pier of the hotel, and the pier was especially cleaned up for us.
The staff assisted with receiving gifts for us, and just being extremely flexible with requests
We had a comfortable room, clean with a nice view. Friendly staff. Very close to RAI station which is only 10 min away from airport and 20 from the city center. Well connected by bus, train and tram. The only disappointment was the lack of a kettle and water in the room

Just back from a lovely 4 day trip to Amsterdam, staying the the Hampshire Hotel Beethovenstraat.
The location was ideal, and quiet in the night time!
Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.
Lobby was beautifully decorated and set a high standard for the hotel. Only downfall was the rooms were a little less decorated and some of the sockets were coming off the wall, otherwise the place was perfect!
We really enjoyed the hotel and the city and we would come back again.
The room had an automatic light in the bathroom, which we could not turn off at night, and there was no bathroom door, so using the facilities at night was disturbing. The bed could only be accessed from one side and it had a toe-stubbing step along the edge of the bed. There was no place for a toiletry case in the bathroom and no towel rack.
Xaviera's is a bit left of centre. Do your research as It is not for everyone. Eclectic and a tad cluttered. Remember you are staying in somebody's home, complete with pets. Hosts are very welcoming and we loved our stay. Sorry our stay was short and we crammed in so much as we did not get to lounge about and interact more with Xaviera and Phillipe. They gave us some great tips for dining and getting about. We would stay there again.

The centerpiece of Amsterdam's burgeoning business district is the RAI: one of Europe's largest conference and exhibition centers, boasting theaters, huge conference halls, exhibition spaces, and regular contemporary art exhibitions. A stone's throw from the attractions of the city's Museum Quarter, the area is replete with fascinating post-modern architecture and wide open spaces.
