Upon check In, the woman said we had to pay €20 more than amount which was confirmed on the Expedia, after disputing this she eventually did charge us the price we had. The last night we had a shower and this orange stuff kept coming out of the shower and tap. Room was pretty standard. Pillows were flat and uncomfortable. It was absolutely bang average overall, definitely not worth the price advertised.

Decent hotel about 10 mins walk from the train station. It’s less convenient than hotels located directly in the centre but Antwerp is small enough that this isn’t a big issue. Otherwise no complaints, the room is clean and staff polite.

Good stay, although the pictures are a little off compared with the reality. The balconies on both side are pretty delightful! Good service as well. Pleasant stay!

The image of the hotel is misleading as they show a picture of the station. Although the hotel itself still represented fair value and the location was good for quick access to the train station, although its far away from the heart of the city in regards to restuarants etc. Now that i understand the layout of the city, i would probably chose a different location

The staff were friendly and efficient, and allowed us to leave our bags after checkout for free. The room was large and very clean, with virtually no noise from outside or other rooms. Great value, we'd definitely stay again.

The property was in a good location next the train stain. Easy to get to and in a safe neighborhood with close proximity to the city. Our room was not ready upon arrival so we waited for their staff to prepare the room in the lobby. Once in the room we knew that we needed out. Mattress needs burned and the whole place might need some candles to get the dingy smell out if it. The bathroom was very clean. I found another place down the road that was slightly more expensive and it was awesome.
Staff was able to get my refund processed for the next two nights and were understanding.

Best,Besides the fact that check-in takes place from 3pm and you were already in the lobby at 1pm and we offered to leave your luggage at the reception, this got refused and you wanted to wait until the room is ready.Several times you asked the reception if the room was ready and this super rude and loud when there was no reason to do so.The deluxe room we gave was completely fine.It was obvious that a 3 star hotel was booked and they wanted 4 star hotel standards and wanted to be rude to the staff.Hope you continued to enjoy your visit to Antwerp.

The host at reception was very friendly and accommodating. Bed was comfortable to sleep in. Only complaint was each morning was woken up early by housekeeping outside in hallway cleaning other rooms. I understand this needs done however the level of noise before 10am was unpleasant. On the second morning we were once again woken by housekeeping cleaning the hallway. Then also knocking on our door despite having the do no disturb sign up. When I answered they asked had we been smoking in the room. Neither of us smoke and I informed them of this and that we were both still sleeping.
Other than the housekeeping issues the stay was good. Breakfast had a good Continental selection and some eggs. Staff at reception very friendly and helpful with any requests.

The door closers are insufficient as every door slams shut and most guests on my floor didn’t guide the door shut so this led to being woken up repeatedly, with on day being at 5.45. Apart from this all else was great. But the lack of sleep impacted my holiday.

Hotel was perfect for our stay. We didn’t use all of the amenities, but the breakfast bar looked okay. Use paid for on site parking, this was reasonable cost and felt very secure. No complaints here about Astoria hotel. Location was really good too, just a few minutes walk to Antwerp station. The staff were all really friendly too.

This allows us to clarify the situation. All guests receive a message the day before their arrival informing them that regrettably, we are not yet able to provide a safe environment for our guests and therefore remain closed. All bookings are upgraded to our 4-star sister hotel Mercure Antwerp which is a 2-minute walk away. We regret that you may not have received this message, however, this is also explained on a large information sheet that can be found on the door of our hotel, with clear instructions on how to reach the Mercure. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause our guests.

The room was very comfy however I did request a double bed and we got two twin beds out together which has separate duvets and sheets.
The breakfast had a big cold food selection however the hot breakfast was lacking
