Great stay. Breakfast was a bit overpriced for the amount and quality of the food but can’t complain as it was free. Room was overpriced but understandable due to being the only hotel there staff were lovely and had such a nice welcome.

Exceptional service.
Very comfortable with superb views from the room. Staff were welcoming and so helpful. Meal was excellent breakfast too and the service I received for my mums funeral tea was exceptional.

Short Stay at The Lauriston Hotel
Nice hotel with lovely friendly staff. Bedroom comfortable except Bathroom bit on small side. Breakfast and dinner both very nice. Also had Sunday Brunch to celebrate relative's 90th Birthday. Meal was lovely and enjoyed by all. Have stayed at hotel before and will definitely return . Would definitely return to hotel

The restaurant and food was excellent and all staff attentive, however the room we were allocated - Room 2 was only 2.0m wide and 3.5 m long, there was not much room to move about and the shower room was tiny, I believe it has been a cupboard converted into a shower room. As we booked well in advance, we expected better!

Ok for what we needed. Walls were paper thin so could hear next doors entire conversation. Breakfast fab and fresh but literally cereal/yoghurt and cooked breakfast tea/coffee/juice. Walls needed painting and there were a few stains on the wall. Nice welcome pack for tea/coffee. Only stayed 1 night. Nice friendly staff at check in and breakfast.

Very dated and needs refurb.
Older hotel, easy check in, awful smell upstairs by the rooms. Family room old and dated, mattresses was awful. Very dusty. Bathroom was nice. Awful breakfast all luke warm, plastic wrapper found inside black pudding. Left and went elsewhere for breakfast. Would I stay again NO!!!

A perfect place to stay. We arrived in the day. parked in the car park. And went to the Restaurant for a late lunch. Fantastic value and good food. We had the Family room. Which did have a side sea view. Our friends had sea view rooms. We went out at night. We all sat together for a great Breakfast. Thank you To Management and staff. There is no shortage of staff. Which shows you get well looked after. I would love to come back again when visiting friends. 10 Out of 10. From Chef Darren.

Stylish property with great service !
This is a gem ! A stylish older property with lots of original features - impressive rooms & a lovely bar and restaurant. Great beds & nice shower & amenities. Staff were fantastic - very friendly & helpful. Beautiful sea views & lovely to walk on the promenade after dinner.

Poor rear room but hotel ok.
Firstly all the staff were great. The pub/hotel was old fashioned but ok. Downstairs was fine. We had the rear room which wasn’t worth the money we paid. The bathroom window needs replacing and doesn’t shut properly parts coming away and crafty. The bathroom was clean but very scruffy. Laminate edges not finished,bits of mold on sealant around bath, Extension cable for tv went under carpet by door to bathroom. Headboard on one of the beds moves and is not secured a lies at an angle because of the frame of the door behind it. Both radiators didn’t come on despite it being cold. Window probably b]needs a net as the house next door can look straight in unless blind is down permantly. This room is well overpriced at £70 and our stay was a miserable one in the room but the actual downstairs of the hotel is fine. Also we had a meal there and breakfast were both good. Shame about the room.

Little Art Deco hotel. Handy for those getting off Campbeltown ferry late. Only 80m from Ardrossan south beach train station. Big breakfast. Good en-suite facilities. Huge shower head.

We extended our stay as impressed with the room, the service provided by the staff and location of the hotel between Saltcoats and Ardrossan. Hotel had its own private car parking and we had an excellent view overlooking the south beach. We really enjoyed our stay.

Check in easy, welcoming, Huge bed, lovely sea view [room 3] breakfast good, food in restaurant excellent, service friendly, very accomodating for our vegan friends with adaptations to the menu if they dont wish to have a standard vegan menu meal. The hotel smelt clean and fresh at all times. Will return again.

Great, quiet location and lovely view. Everything was absolutely fine. Room was lovely clean and fresh but the bathroom was a bit small. Food and drink was tasty and good value for money. Happy to recommend it.

Nice little place to stay. So close to the train station and the sea. There's a hotel bar as well as the pub to the side, very friendly in the pub. Breakfast was lovely, freshly cooked. Looks like they've upgraded the bathrooms since the last time I stayed, decent shower now. On the day of departure, I was leaving before breakfast, however they offered to arrange a takeaway for me, that was most appreciated. Would recommend this for people to stay.
