"Perfect location for us while attending a wedding at the Yorktown Shed. The house is lovely. In the morning coffe and breakfast choices are just a short walk from the house as well as the beach and other dining options. Wonderful choice for exploring Historic Yorktown and all it has to offer."

"We had a lovely time. The house is very well equipped and comfortable. We were delighted that it was so easy to walk into town on the scenic walkway. There are several excellent restaurants in walking distance. We drove to Williamsburg several times; easy reach. Very pleasant and responsive hosts."

"The staff were very helpful during my stay, particularly Ryan at the front desk. I'm hard of hearing in one ear, and he was very kind and respectful. Unlike most hotels, Red Roof Inn does not charge a crazy pet fee, and that added to the convenience of the trip. A cat showed up on my porch a couple weeks ago. I've been in the process of getting him healthy and was able to bring him along with me. There was a small deposit, and it was returned upon inspection of the room after the stay. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone traveling around the Newport News and Williamsburg area."

"This was a beautiful scenic property. Kids all loved the York River! Made for nice family photos. The host okayed my friend being there to visit my family and I, as she is from the area, one of the main reasons for my stay. Brian the gentelman who lived in the apartment next door was kind and helpful and gave us information about the York River. Lucy his dog was also very friendly."

"The very best VRBO we’ve ever had. Layout provided privacy, everything we needed was provided (even scotched tape and rubber bands!). Being right on the river and children running in and out let some pesky flies inside so a fly swatter would have been helpful rather than chasing them down with an improvised one of newspaper. The laundry room with oversized appliances was perfect for a week long stay for our family. The view was amazing and provided a calm to begin and end each day!"

"Excellent property location right on the water with kayaks and great views of the sunset. Rooms were nicely decorated as described on the site. Only negative was the water from the shower and sinks smelled like rotten eggs from the well water. Wish that was disclosed in the listing. Positive overall other than that though."
