"Castlehacket House is an amazing place in a very lovely, but remote location. We were very well taken care of in a beautiful room with a lovely breakfast the next day. The hosts took care of all the guests at breakfast with a very personable service and it is somewhere I would not hesitate to return too."

"Yes, plenty to do for all ages, we went as far as 100km to visit the attractions and villages. "

"What a fun place to stay. Sean and Suzi are wonderful Host. They have everything you will need. Plus 2 Shetland ponies and 4 cats! We bought a bag of carrots at aldis right down the road in Ballyhaunis to feed the ponies. We even got to watch the cows being herded from field to field right up the road. There were lots of games to entertain us on our evenings and lots of useful information as to what to do while in Ireland. I told Suzi when we booked the cottage that we were doing some family ancestry. She was so kind and had a print out on the kitchen table with a 1926 census. It turned out to be very useful and found a 3rd cousin with that into. The cottage was very clean and has ample parking and turnaround area. They have hot water for a good shower and even a deep bath tub for a nice soak. Plus they have heated floor which it’s absolutly the best! It is situated centrally for all the destinations we made. If we were to come back we will surely book with them again. "

"This home was delightful, and while secluded still felt very safe—we were four females traveling from the US. Each of us had our own space which we enjoyed. The kitchen was “over” equipped for anything you wanted to do. None of us are big cooks so that was kind of wasted on us—too bad. Michael was quick to respond to issues. Our only negative was the lack of a working TV. "
