Atholl Palace Hotel

Atholl Palace Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"A truly beautiful place with really good food and service. It was a bit of a hike from the train station especially with rollers up the sizeable hill, but my only real complaint is the complete ineffectiveness of the hotel’s WiFi. Excitement when the tv actually had Netflix was quickly squashed when it didn’t have enough WiFi to even load. Kinda unacceptable in today’s hotel market,"

"Very good location minutes from Main Street but still very quiet. Spacious and well appointed bedroom looking out onto hills. Good wardrobe hanging space - good hairdryer and tea coffee and water all supplied. Bed very comfy. Bathroom good size and walk in shower with anti slip mat provided - good detail. Breakfast very good with quality ingredients and kept topped up with fresh food . Coffee machines good - - toasters not so much . Bonus to have EV charging points for our electric car. Nice outside seating at front. All in all a very good place to stay. Any staff we encountered were pleasant and friendly ."

"I loved the location. Hiking along the river was lovely. The gardens were beautifully maintained. The aesthetics of the building was magical. Most modern hotels contain a small refrigerator. This one did not. The staff did provide us with a bag of ice for keeping things cold overnight. Hotel some distance from towns and we did not want to drive back into town to get supper. We got the restaurants three course meal, which, between the two of us, cost almost as much as the overnight accommodations. I was no à la carte option."
