Escape the hustle and bustle at this contemporary North Devon hideaway. Surrounded by nature and just 7 miles from Exmoor National Park, this off-grid four-bedroom farmhouse is perfect for a family plus two hounds wanting relaxation, long hikes, and stunning scenery.
This 1850s farmhouse is bursting with warmth and character. Patio doors and sash windows flood the open-plan living area with natural light while the contemporary furnishings add an instant sense of welcome. The spacious lounge is an inviting space – gather on the comfy sofa and chairs, swap stories in front of the wood burner, or whip up delicious meals in the kitted-out kitchen. A large table is perfect for sociable meals and if the weather is good, you’ll want to push open the patio doors and let the warm air breeze in. When it’s time for bed, take the stairs to the first floor where you’ll find four large bedrooms. Choose between two king-size, one super-king-size zip-and-link, and one twin. All the bedrooms are well presented with the master bedroom boasting an en-suite bathroom and stunning countryside views. There’s also a thoroughly modern bathroom on this floor. Outside, the extensive grounds offer plenty of space for little ones and four-legged friends to run free. While they play on the lawn you can relax on the decked area or play a family game of table tennis, pool, or darts in the separate games barn.
Pull on boots and enjoy countryside walks straight from the door. Alternatively, journey 7 miles to Exmoor National Park and explore its moorland and woodland. For a fun day out with the family, head to Exmoor Zoo (6 miles) or swim in the sea at Woolacombe Beach (16 miles).

The track to the house changes condition depending on the weather, and if the farmer is using it for moving the cows from field to milking. The first part of the track is concrete planks, it then turns to gravel and some mud, before turning back to concrete for the last section down to the houses. Regardless of the weather it is always usable in a normal family car, nobody has ever got stuck, but if wet conditions wheels and wheel arches will get muddy.
