This is an excellent hotel. It has beautiful grounds and a very wonderful restaurant. I was traveling with my two brothers and we enjoyed our meals and the attentive service. The prices are fair and there is a superb morning buffet which has many different options from which you can select what you would like. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely return to this hotel in the future and recommend it to others.

Our stay at Hotel Aiguablava was great and full of memories as during our trip in Begur my partner and I got engaged. So we hope to come back in the future to Costa Brava to celebrate the anniversary and will hopefully stay at Hotel Aiguablava again.

Very nice setting and outdoor eating area. Around the pool area could do with a little updating but I imagine in summer it is filled with people which would make it look different than early spring. At dinner the restaurant lighting is a little bright but food was lovely. Great walks nearby. No sea view from the pool which is fine but picture is a little misleading. Great staff and cleanliness

Lovely in parts but has problems.
We did not think the staff particularly friendly. Breakfast was excellent but dinner was not inspiring. Bearing in mind the age of a lot of the patrons, there were no lifts and a lot of stairs. Even in our bedroom with no hand rails. It is avery pretty place but… the rooms are very attractive and do are the views.

This was the highlight of our three weeks in Spain. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, tucked into the side of a rocky hillside, overlooking a gorgeous bay with a small beach area. The grounds are interesting, well maintained and lovely. There is a large, crystal clear pool with plenty of pool furniture. The complimentary breakfast was plentiful and very good. Dinners were available on a umbrellaed patio overlooking the bay or in the garden area under a canopy of vines and outdoor lighting. We chose a room with a balcony and bay view and enjoyed wine and such. The bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom were generous in size and furnishings. One review said there was no air conditioning but I think that has changed as we had air conditioning. The staff were wonderful, friendly, and efficient. And went out of their way to accommodate our few request.

Highly recommend this hotel. The staff was very nice. The room we stayed in was clean and spotless. We also had an incredible view. It’s a place to relax. We enjoyed going to the beach and there were several to choose in the area. The breakfast buffet was incredible with numerous choices. It was obvious that there are several repeat families that visit. The staff was very attentive and pleasant. Five stars for this hotel and staff. Hope to return someday.

Great view, stuffy atmosphere
For the most part I liked this hotel, I did not Love it, and probably wouldn’t come back. On the good side, the room was spacious and comfortable and I had a nice view of the marina, with an additional 20Euro per night payment. The area and view from hotel is gorgeous, although the hotel is pretty isolated, so you have to drive a ways to get to any town with restaurants. On the down side, when I arrived at the checkin there was only 1 person to help and she was on the phone. She talked for a good 5 or 6 minutes while I waited for her. It seemed like she was talking to a friend and couldn’t be bothered to help me. I finally had to ask her to help me check in and she seemed unnerved that she had to get off the phone to check me in. Even though the hotel had a lot of empty rooms, they put me in the worst section of the hotel with a view of the parking lot, and I had to ASK to have a better room. In my opinion, a nice hotel should put you in the best room available in your price range right away, that way you feel like they care about your stay! The upgraded room that I got for an additional 20 euros was large and had a nice view, although it had a very chemical smell to it, which never went away. The breakfast was wonderful and had an incredible view. There is parking but it’s really tight and hard to manage and I ended up damaging my car because the spaces were too difficult to get in and out of. The hotel had a stuffy atmosphere rather than feeling modern and light.

Aiguablava is a very special place. This is the first time staying at the hotel and it was a lovely experience for such a great area on the coast. The room was ocean front with a view of the cove - perfect. The location speaks for itself, the food feels very local and understated and everything else was on point. Loved our stay.

Aigua Blava has to be one of the most beautiful hotel I've stayed. It’s right along the calm, pristine coastline, a perfect place to unwind and relax from the city living. The staffs are super friendly and communicative. Their breakfast is a must, do not skip. You’ll have the variety of hams and eggs, fresh juice and endless espresso with many delicious pastries and deserts. I will make a plan to go back.

Top place and staff but poor restaurant
The place, the staff, the services are exceptional. Breakfast is excellent. It lacks on the other hand a kitchen up to the services. Some of the dishes have a very ordinary presentation. the products are good but poorly worked. for example paella, bland and poorly cooked rice, grilled vegetables that are too dry. a strange dish of meatballs with cuttlefish served as in a canteen and tasteless. the half-board menu does not change enough, the starter of the day is a soup. I do not recommend the restaurant and it is a shame.

Breathtaking spot, with nicely appointed room and bathroom. Food was decent but not outstanding. Service varied in terms of the restaurants - some staff were excellent, attentive and responsive. Others couldn’t be bothered. In terms of the pool, the property should consider installing a hot tub and possibly an adult only pool. Overall, though, this is good place and I intend to return.

The location and view from this property is breathtaking. The view from our room was beyond our wildest expectations. The staff was all so lovely, friendly and helpful! The breakfast was incredible and sitting on the patio every morning was a highlight. Wow. This hotel was the perfect choice for 4 relaxing nights of our honeymoon!

I felt taken care of from the start. There was always staff around to offer advice about where to go and what to do. The breakfast buffet had many options, delicious coffee, indoor and outdoor seating. We had paid for a seaview room and they were sold out so they upgraded us to a two bedroom, two bath with sweeping ocean views and balcony. It was breathtaking.
