"A beautiful and charming inn, but the buildings are older and it could use some maintenance and updating. We did not have hot water on the morning we were checking out. The porches are comfy and very quaint."

"The home is very charming. The proximity to downtown is amazing and so easily walkable. Stockbridge is quite lovely, cocktails on the Red Lion porch is a must! Proximity to Lee and and Lenox was wonderful. There is so much to do in the area! We will be back."

"The Taggart House exceeded our expectations. We were a group 5 women, grade school BFFs, celebrating a milestone birthday….. loved having our own bedrooms and bathrooms, more so because they were totally renovated. The sun porch was our favorite spot for everything - cozy, comfy and gorgeous. Our hosts happened to be nearby over the weekend and even set up our evening fire pit to ensure the required s’more-fest was a success. Highly recommend!"

"The home was in a great location to explore Berkshire County. The house was spacious and great for our family reunion with each of us having our own rooms and almost all bedrooms had en suite bathrooms. The house did have its quirks, as one might expect for a very old home. But we all enjoyed its character, including the robin’s nest outside one of the windows. A few things that any renter should be aware of. You do hear traffic noise on Rte 7. It’s a trade-off for being close to everything. Bring layers in the summer! All of us were freezing in the AC and the temperature control was locked. We couldn’t make it warmer. So despite it being summer, we all had on sweaters, fleece jackets and long pants while inside. Also, be aware of that the home is only supplied with minimal towels (1 body towel, 1 hand towel and 1 face cloth) per person. There were no extras. And there are no towel bars to hang towels to dry. No bath mats to step out of showers. Only 2 dish towels in the kitchen. There were no pool towels. Also, supplies for guests are minimal. We suggest asking for the list of what is and isn’t supplied well ahead of time to be prepared. While there were closets in most bedrooms, there were no coat hangers. We had a few issues while we were there and the local handy man was responsive and friendly. We appreciated his help.We all had fun celebrating a milestone birthday and gathering as a family."
