We were so fortunate to reserve this hotel for our stay. Close, but out of Bilbao, easy metro into Bilbao, easy free parking (well, this time of year), and the hotel was the best place for breakfast and evening snacks. A great location, staff and clean, quiet rooms.

Very friendly front desk - we are English speaking only and they went the extra mile to make sure they communicated with us. Walkable to the beach and views of the river were beautiful. Bed was very comfortable and night time was very quiet. Great food and drink options in the cafe. Just a great place to stay

Brilliant hotel and the reception staff are amazing especially for practicing my Spanish. The cleaners do an amazing job and the rooms are unreal. I did ask for a special request that wasn't granted but I think we got a free room upgrade which was an amazing room and a free bottle of wine with our VIP status. The restaurant wasn't great and I don't think I'll be back to the restaurant, but I will definitely stay in the hotel itself again if ever the opportunity arose for the right price.

BEAUTIFUL HOTEL in the picturesque town of Plencia

I love the Bahía de Plencia because of its beauty and convenient location in the town of Plencia. My room had a lovely river view, a spacious bedroom with a large screen TV, a bathroom with a very powerful shower, and plenty of room in the closet. The metro stop is only 8 minutes away, as well as the local supermarket, multiple restaurants and beauty salons. The personnel was friendly and efficient. I am definitely going back.

We are half way through a full week's stay in this hotel and we almost feel "blessed" to have found it at all. Been traveling the perimeter of Spain on a months long odyssey and by a wide margin this is the best hotel we have experienced thus far with only one more stay remaining. The room is incredible with our own very spacious exterior covered deck/patio space. The restaurant within the hotel is not only reasonable for prices but the quality is very, very good. Didn't know this until a few days in but the woman who helped me with my late arrival and replied to several emails whose name is Inma was also attending the desk when we checked in at 12:30am is also "the boss" or "el jefa" and was still on station when we returned to the desk at 10:30am....she is wonderful. Nearing now the end of our stay in two days and Inma is back and setting up tables for a baby's christening. I asked her and she confirmed that she actually owns this place. No wonder she puts her heart and soul into such a lovely experience. We also have gotten to know her son Adrian who is assisting his momma. In the restaurant we have gotten to know Tito a marvelously nice man who now recognizes us and greets us each day. We overlook the water, a public plaza also fronted by what appears to be the city hall and visitors center. Children play in the gazebo and couples walk their dogs every morning. Not only do I truly love this hotel I have also determined Plentzia is a place I could easily move permanently.

Conveniently located, and extremely friendly staff. Lady who checked us in at midnight was extremely efficient and nice. I think her name is Ima. Overall, pleasant stay of 4 nights.

Nice place. A bit dated but very clean. Great staff. I have 3 stars on the eco rating because it appears to be stuck in the 90s on that front. A real gem of a town and a hotel. We were the only Americans they had seen in a while. The town has a neat little museum as well.

Had to find someone to check us in. Once found, friendly gentleman and fast check in. Wait staff speaks limited English. Used translation app which helped. Restaurant menus varied and we’re hard to interpret. Limited free offsite parking. Though, nearby, we were lucky to find one of the last two spots when we arrived. Not a lot within walking distance.

Die Unterkunft wirbt mit dem Bild eines Nachbargebäudes. Die Rezeption war sehr chaotisch organisiert. Betten waren OKAY. Das Essen im Restaurant war gut. Das Haus ist ziemlich hellhörig.
