The flats are still being built so instead of a nice balcony, there’s scaffolding with builders walking passed your window, also the wrong number is given for contact host and none of the links worked on vrbo (which is expedias fault) and expedias customer service took 4 hours to get any information! However once the owner met us he was very nice, and the location to the MAC was 10 seconds from the door which was very useful.

One Star -A “Lux Apartment”… apparently Ahh, dear readers, you may wonder about this one-star review. I gave the host the opportunity to refund 3 of the 5 nights, as I stayed only one night. He declined, so in the spirit of helping him out, here are a few things one probably shouldn’t do when advertising a “Lux apartment.” Firstly, don’t rent an apartment in a building that doesn’t permit short-term rentals. An awkward discovery upon arrival. Secondly, “recently renovated” perhaps needs clarification when the entire building is essentially a construction site, due apparently to fire safety concerns. No alarm clock required, the builders have that covered. The balcony? No furniture, despite the furniture shown in the listing photos. Sit on the floor instead if you can stand the noise. Inside, exposed light bulbs hang from the ceiling, the hallway light didn't work at all. Towels were completely absent upon arrival. Half a roll of toilet paper for five nights, a missing fridge shelf, no sink plug or washing-up bowl, and bathroom lighting that could best be described as nightclub-esque. It was grimy and needed a good clean. I tried to resolve matters privately and amicably. There seems to be several "people" involved, it was disconcerting. I’m generally described as friendly, chatty and reasonable. I don’t expect perfection, but I do expect cleanliness, functioning facilities, adequate supplies, accurate photographs and accommodation that is actually suitable for rent.

City centre haven

Ideal location in Edgbaston, perfect for cricket ground or MAD. Compact property that had all we needed for our two night stay. Even a supermarket next door. Communication was excellent and they were able to accommodate our late check in. At the end of a phone or message; nothing was too much trouble
