Jewellery Quarter

Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter sparkles with history and creativity in a compact, walkable setting. Over 200 listed buildings dating to the 18th century showcase Britain's jewelry-making heritage. Former factories now house galleries and design studios alongside traditional goldsmiths still practising their craft. The Museum of the Jewellery Quarter and Pen Museum tell fascinating stories of local craftsmanship. Red brick Victorian buildings with ornate ironwork line cobblestone streets that buzz with artisan energy. St. Paul's Church anchors the Georgian heart of this creative enclave. Boutique shops offer everything from bespoke jewellery to contemporary art. The quarter quiets after sunset when workshops close and local pubs welcome area residents.

Digbeth

Birmingham's Digbeth district has transformed from industrial powerhouse to creative hotspot. Former warehouses now house galleries, studios, and hip venues like the Custard Factory where travellers discover street art and independent businesses. The red-brick Victorian buildings provide a historic backdrop for this artistic revival. The area pulses with energy at music venues, craft breweries, and the popular Digbeth Dining Club street food market. You'll find vintage shops, record stores, and weekend markets selling handmade goods. Just a short walk from Birmingham's city centre, Digbeth offers an authentic slice of the city's creative soul.

"Reception staff very helpful and friendly. Quick and easy check in. Pool nice to use after a long day. Food and drinks in bar are good value. Walk to airport is about 10 minutes then the monorail - not easy with bags but for price good value. Main downside was the rooms are very very very warm. We stayed post and pre flight and was far to warm to sleep. They provide fan in room but windows open a few CMs and that’s not much good with no A/C. Overall a pleasant stay and would recommend - maybe not in July and August though!!!"
