Holiday Inn Express Birmingham - City Centre by IHG

Holiday Inn Express Birmingham - City Centre by IHG

8/10 Good
"Hotel was clean, neat, and today. Staff were friendly. Room was spacious and well prepared however I could not get the air conditioning to work, which ultimately disturbed my sleep. The breakfast was very basic, but that’s a given these days. I can’t remember the last time I stayed in a hotel and was actually impressed by the breakfast offering. The general food on offer was also very limited. I ordered pizza and some chips. The pizza was like a frozen one from a supermarket as were the chips. Very overpriced and poor quality."

"The experience was great. We had an issue with the room we’d booked and the staff were quick to sort it out. They gave us a free complimentary upgrade to the Executive Room as well as 4x free drinks, 15% off hotel restaurant food and free parking for the duration of our stay. Would definitely stay in this hotel again."

"The rooms were a good size and clean but the shower room ceiling was mouldy. Stagg were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great, a good selection but the 2 coffee machines had a long queues. The ceiling rotating pendants were dusty which made it uncomfortable to enjoy earing sifri g below them The echargers were temperamental which was an inconvenience as I could have charged my car o ernight to save me stopover on my return journey. The sports leisure centre was a few yards awa, not convenient for elderly or disabled guests. However, the amenities were great. Overall the stay was great and I would recommend it."

"Had a very good experience as we came up for wedding . Staff were very friendly and very helpful . Our rooms was very clean and spacious the staff had upgraded us to a larger room on arriving which really helped us out a lot . We Will definitely use again as location was perfect for all the different events in different locations in Birmingham was easy to get to from hotel . The only thing we would suggest to make it absolutely perfect for all visitors would be a free carpark . We were gratefully they had their own carpark on site . Once again excellent staff. Clean hotel good amenities and good location ."

"This is a fantastic hotel, the room was very clean. The bed was really comfortable. The pillows were really good. Plenty of immunities in the room, the interior design was also really nice very light. The bathtub was also a great size and very comfortable. The bathroom was really good as well. The shower was great. And we had so much space as well, the room was quite big. Parking is free right outside of the property and they have a lovely café next door although the coffee isn’t very good. Would definitely go again."

"Struggled to find it at first but it was a lovely room, enjoyed being able to use the TV. Had 2 fans which was needed. When arrived back at the hotel late at night there was no room in the car park but a member of staff moved their car for us to be able to park. Only downside which staff cannot control it is very loud, right next to pubs. Banging all night and fire alarm randomly went off at 1am which gave us a bit of a fright."
