"This was our second stay at Down Hall, as it's a perfect start of the holiday if you have an early flight from Stanstead the following day. The hotel is wonderful and the food at the restaurant amazing. All staff were professional and friendly, in particular the manager was extremely kind and helpful."

"We booked 2 rooms, due to a late finish at work. Would have been better to return home at 2 am in the morning. Noisy guests on and off until 3am, which you can get at any hotels, but the rooms do not insulate from the noise. I asked if there was a night porter to help manage noisy guests the next morning to be told yes. I asked could they not walk around the buildings to manage nuisance guests. I was told in the night porters defence he may not have heard them, which I highlighted was clearly...
