"The room was a disappointment. I was expecting a 4 star hotel. The room was barely 3 and the bathroom about 2. A very dated hotel that was more of a motel. Breakfast was ok but not great. Would not stay again."

"Very nice hotel, all the staff we dealt with were very polite and friendly. The cooked breakfast was cooked fresh, we had one evening meal which was very nice. The only downside was that the Spa was being renovated, I would definitely use this hotel again."

"Came for a 5-night break in the Lake District, this B & B did not disappoint. The owners Susann & Glenn were very welcoming. Shoes are left at the door, so do bring slippers. The rooms are bright, spotlessly clean, well furnished with tea, coffee & biscuits plus a small fridge, all thoughtfully and immaculately presented. Breakfast was amazing, fresh fruit with yoghurt & granola, followed by a full cooked breakfast. fruit juices, toast and preserves. The staff are helpful and friendly. There is a lakeside walk into Bowness, which is lovely and takes a 10-minute leisurely stroll. Nothing was too much trouble, we would happily stay again. Parking is on site."

"This hotel was in the heart of Bowness and Windermere. The staff on the whole were fantastic and friendly. The room we had was very spacious and comfortable with a brilliant view of the lake. Breakfast was as expected for £15 "

"Our room was very clean and spacious, housekeeping only came in when requested. Staff were friendly but the restaurant staff were not particularly friendly. Cooked breakfast was very good but the continental breakfast could be better for example the fruit salad was very green and would have been better if there had been some yogurt on the table. The bar was not staffed all the time so we had to find someone to get a drink on a couple of occasions. Lindeth Howe is an excellent hotel in a beautiful quiet location. We have no hesitation in recommending it to our friends."
