Bathroom: Roll Top Bath With Shower Over, Cubicle Shower, Heated Towel Rail, Toilet. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot, highchair and stairgates. Welcome pack. Enclosed lawned garden with patio, garden furniture and BBQ. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. Box Tree Cottage has been renovated to a high standard in 2021. Located in Blakeney in The Forest of Dean, it is an ideal location for exploring the beautiful area. This is a fantastic area for those who want to escape to the countryside. You won’t get bored exploring local forests, whether cycling through the many trails or admiring the views on foot. You might like to jump on the train and head 45-minutes away to Cardiff for shopping and dining out. For a great day out, be sure to visit Gloucester Cathedral, a must see for Harry Potter fans! Or for a change of pace enjoy some shopping in Cheltenham or Bristol.
Other outdoor activities include canoeing at Symonds Yat, walking through Clearwell Caves hidden under the forest floor and Go Ape at Beechenhurst. There is plenty for children to explore, such as a magical day at Puzzlewood, take a trip on the steam railways or visit the Butterfly Trail in nearby Ross-on-Wye. Box Tree Cottage has a large, enclosed garden overlooking the forest, ideal for pets and fabulous for sitting and listening to the local wildlife whist the sun goes down.
Box Tree cottage consists of a large open plan kitchen/dining room with exposed stone walls and beams, well-equipped with everything you could need during your stay, including a washing machine for muddy clothes. The dining area has a double fronted wood burner and can be seen from both the dining area and living room. The large living room features patio doors leading to the garden, a Smart TV and wood burner, again with beams and exposed stone walls. On the first floor there is a super kingsize bedroom with zip and link bed, a twin room, and a family bathroom with roll-top bath and a shower cubicle.
