"The staff and the food are the big selling points for this hotel. Staff have always been very helpful and the food is always good. It is a convenient hotel with free parking and EV chargers on site. The rooms are quite dated and old, definitely in need of an upgrade."

"The Step House hotel was one of our favorite stays on our Ireland trip! We had a beautiful and spacious room that opened onto a terrace overlooking the gardens and mountains in the distance. We enjoyed a delicious dinner and breakfast in the 1808 Pub. The staff was wonderful and the extra touches like flowers and prosecco in the room made this the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary and start off our trip! We enjoyed the small town of Borris and walking the Railway trail. We hope to return and explore more of the area!"

"Beautiful hotel with very, very clean rooms and comfortable beds. We had their most basic room for our 1 night stay and it was perfectly cosy and opulent. I loved the bath with bath salt, the bvlgari soap, and the pool was great as well. Breakfast was buffet and order from the table. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return one day!"
