"It’s a very interesting hotel. Wonderful happy smiling staff when you first arrive and through out our time there albeit overnight. The room was clean and newly appointed with a super king size bed, with lovely comfortable firm mattress. The on-suite was newly fitted although the carpentry was not of a particularly high standard. A bit quirky but it is a budget hotel so you have to make allowance. We had supper and the menu and quality of food was really excellent and competitively priced. The breakfast was something to die for. Truly excellent and exceedingly good value for money. Overall for an overnight stay it was really good and would happily book again."

"We were given an upgrade to larger room which was ok..but lots of stairs , as third floor and both over 60 lol but appreciated the extra space . Hotel was in good place for visting other places. The meal we had in the restaurant was yummy , i had the fish and chips and hubby had the burger. But breakfast not so good, bacon was hard as was streaky and it was a mix for scrambled egg which was not very nice , tin mushrooms and tomatoes needed cooking longer and sausage and hash brown was ok and beans .Fruit salad was basic was melon and apple maybe 5 grapes sliced in half in it . After restauant being so good was shocked with breakfast feeling so cheap. You also had bread for toast and spreads and yogs and cereal and usuall drinks."

"Stayed for business, very good indeed and made a nice change from the traditional chains. WiFi worked great, shower was great, staff very friendly, room had some nice lighting touches. The only thing which was slightly inconvenient was the renewal of parking each day. Stayed for 3 nights but can only pay / book every 24 hours which either means you have to remember each day and / or watch the times. Arrived at 4pm, paid for 24 hours but then had to renew the following morning first thing as I wouldn’t have been back to the hotel in time later in the day. Would be far more convenient to be able to pay for the full duration up front, one less thing to worry about but overall that’s a minor thing, especially if you remember to do it!"
