Gorgeous property and setting. Lovely staff. Would definitely say its for families as opposed to couples though - several children there and if you are wanting to get away for peace and quiet although it still is very peaceful location its not the same as a couples retreat, especially when in the spa/swimming pool. We will likely return but with our two children - they would love it and we will as a family!

Beautiful, inclusive and friendly staff. Having families around was fun. We could charge our electric car which was great. Unfortunately we were woken up at 7 by children running in the room overhead (we stayed in the Grooms), there seemed to be limited or no sound insulation.

What a wonderful welcome!
What a wonderful welcome awaits those who check in at Woolley Grange Hotel. The staff are friendly, helpful and instantly make you feel very welcome. The room we had was so characterful, behind the bedroom door was a little staircase which led up to a splendid bedroom, with an amazing view of the garden and a most spacious bathroom - the bath was huge and quite rightly the star of the room! We had a lovely evening meal in the hotel’s restaurant and the breakfast was soo tasty! The hotel is a short walk from Bradford on Avon which is a fabulous place to explore.

My Woolley Grange Hotel Stay
All staff were friendly and helpful. The environment clean and peaceful. Food and service good. There were many toddlers and their parents but it was all part of the fun. the lovely darlings made me laugh every time. The hotel itself is set in a lovely countryside and not far from Bath. It offers spa treatments, a swimming pool, steam room, etc. All together a lovely place to stay and I will go back there if I am in that neck of the wood again in the near future.

Amazing stay. The accommodation was fabulous and the grounds were amazing - every last thing had been thought of. Staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly. An absolute gem that we will be returning to in the future.

Nice hotel
Lovely hotel but I was on a business trip and needed to work from my room, the desk had no legroom and the chair was uncomfortable. The restaurant was nice, the food excellent but the menu lacked choice.

15th Century original parts of the building, has withstood the test of time outstandingly impressive. Not one beam or floor or ceiling in a straight line, wonderful . The word hygge must have been invented to describe this fabulous hotel. Hard to say which facet was best , the warm staff welcome and service from everyone encountered, the first class tasty food, so hard to choose Menu, many, many choices of activities , families and children in particular being a priority . It shows, not one tantrum or strope witnessed, they are so well catered for. Doggie welcome like I’ve never seen before with a luxury welcome pack, bowls, and bedding in place in the room at check in. No formal bar, drinks and food can be ordered from any and all staff or reception and served up in any location ,heated outdoor / indoor pool, many cosy comfy lounge areas, conservatory ( in which, tables for unique Sunday morning kids breakfast club, are reserved in the children’s- not the adults, names , super cute attention to detail). Just as well as the parents are able to enjoy a lie on till 11am. There is a dog minding/ walking service almost insisted upon. Even a fab dog wash hut.There is a fully equipped Elemis Spa - book treatments ASAP so you don’t miss out ! A fab kitchen garden , children and adults can exercise their green fingers or purchase fresh produce from the honesty shop to take home - pumpkins only growing larger for end of month glut, may have to take a run out to pick my own? ?

Unexpected Gem
Excellent location. Characterful property. Front of house service exemplary. Room comfortable. Bathroom clean. Extensive grounds and kitchen garden to visit. Strong focus on children and being pet friendly. Probably means most areas/rooms will have seen a dog at some point. Cooked breakfast somewhat disappointing, but buffet continental excellent. Would stay there again.

This was our second stay at Woolley Grange and once again we had a brilliant time. The whole experience was excellent from top to bottom. It's a lovely atmosphere with great staff and outstanding facilities for all ages. We can't wait to come back again

Totally not as expected from this ‘luxury’ hotel had booked on the basis of the excellent weather forecast and being able to enjoy the lovely pool and sun loungers. Was totally not as expected- there were very few sun loungers - instead of luxury hotel it was like Blackpool. Some Cheap and nasty deckchairs were provided, but not enough of those either and we were left standing around the pool and forced to sit on the grass. Very short sighted of hotel not to provide enough loungers. Other than that the staff were lovely apart from a very bad experience on our last day. One staff member decided to have a prolonged inappropriate rant outside our bedroom door to the extent my child and I just wanted to leave the hotel. It was a real shame because all of the other staff had been lovely. Despite her apology, neither my child or I felt like we wanted to stay as the atmosphere had been ruined.

Won’t be returning!
The shower did not work so was moved rooms after being offered to use the swimming pool shower. Staff were unorganised and in some cases unprofessional/ rude. The Spa was occupied by a teenager and father chucking a ball at full pelt despite the rules. The original room had chipped mugs, dirty linen and clothes left in the wardrobe from the previous occupant- when I questioned this staff were not helpful. The breakfast was undercooked and inedible (had to be sent back)

The staff are the friendliest I have come across at a Hotel. The grounds are fantastic with ducks chickens and even a couple of pigs. There are apple and pear trees and raspberry vines in the grounds that you can pick from yourself. The outdoor pool is great with plenty of loungers and an outside bar. We did not use the indoor pool so can not comment. The breakfast was first class with a choice of fruits muesli and yogurts to start then an extensive hot menu. This is a great Hotel for families and caters extensively for kids including kids food menus kids play areas and outside games

No SLEEP
Everything was perfect apart from the beds and the rooms were too hot... so we couldn’t sleep a wink! Such a shame as I’ve been wanting to go there for years with my children. Their beds were awful too. The hotel was otherwise the best hotel ever! But this one thing soured the whole experience.

Hotel was okay but overpriced
Food was amazing but management of the restaurant was poor. Ended up waiting for an hour for food. Staff were not trained well, so was complete clueless of what the meal deals were. The game room: one battery missing, so not able to turn TV on. Then one of the handle of the air hockey was missing- so there were nothing to do in the game room. Certainly it was not a “luxury family hotel”. More like an overpriced farm cottage holiday.

Amazing family hotel
We loved our stay here the grounds are full of climbing frames swings and activities for kids, the outdoor pool in the hot weather was brilliant, the creche was great, used baby listening and managed a drink in the gardens. The staff are very friendly and make your stay the best it can be. Will definitely be back.

We were blown away by this magnificent hotel! Every bit of it was magical, from the extensive gardens to wander around (don't miss the Walled Garden) to the quirky room, super comfy bed and amazing breakfast. Highly recommended.

Nice hotel
This is a very nice hotel but I think we drew the short straw with our room. It was not luxury- I've stayed in much nicer rooms at far cheaper rates. We really felt like pushing the boat out and staying somewhere fabulous for the kids. The hotel itself is beautiful, the grounds lovely, the staff superb. But the room was not luxury and looked nothing like the pictures on the website.Our main complaint is that the kids had to sleep on camp beds- which the little one was not so bothered about but the bigger one found very uncomfortable. One of the camp beds was also in front of the wardrobe so we had to move it in order to use the wardrobe. The furniture was basic- a work top style table with a small mirror and three not particularly comfortable chairs which just took up space due to wide arm rests. The walls were very thin- one night some other children tried to get through the connecting doors and woke us all up, another night we heard a baby crying and doubtless my children woke others up in the same way with noisy morning rising.With everything else being so nice this is quite disappointing and not worth the luxury price. At the end of the stay the staff made an error and charged us twice- this is not the issue- they realised and put it right straight away. My problem is that the charge was a fraction of the price we actually paid- could this be that they also recognised we had an inferior room.?.
