"The perfect hotel if you need to be close to the train to get in and around Venice and the neighboring islands. One precaution: We were traveling in a large group (10 adults, each with a suitcase and a carry-on) and we were advised that we could not use the free shuttle for the airport. "All of the staff were very pleasant and Chicara and April at the desk couldn’t be any more helpful and accommodating…excellent service. The rooms were very clean. As in prior reviews the pillows and mattresses weren’t the most comfortable and could use updating. The hotel can also use some sprucing up but hey, it’s Venice. The breakfast was good. Plenty of choices to eat within the area and 5-7 minute walk to St Marks Square, Doge Palace and St Marks Basilica. For the price so close to the square it was reasonable and I would recommend. I found everything in Venice close to the square pricey "
