The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The food was filling and tasty and I had breakfast looking across to the start of the Brecon Beacons. The beer was wonderful especially the Butty Bach (little friend in Welsh). "

"It was a lovely hotel and the location was perfect as we were going to a gig at the castle. Staff were very friendly. Only one lift was working and they are very slow to call. We ended up taking the stairs. The reception area and lounge were nice and cool however the room was very hot. The room did have a fan but we could have done with another one. The shower could have done with a little more power but it wasn’t terrible. Beds were very comfy. Breakfast was great, lots of selection and very fresh. Unfortunately we stayed when there were roadworks being undertaken so it was quite noisy and you could feel the vibrations. However, we would stay there again. "
