"Victoria Lodge is a fantastic place to stay...the location in the middle of Stockton Heath couldn't be more convenient for numerous pubs, restaurants, a variety of shops, Alexander Park and Walton Gardens. There are all kinds of opportunities for walks nearby (public footpaths through the Cheshire countryside, the tow path of the Bridgewater Canal and the Trans Pennine Way). Paul, the hotel owner, is incredibly accommodating and helpful, and he cooks the most amazing full English breakfast which is included with the accommodation. Highly recommended."

"Air conditioning did not work but the room was really hot, you couldn't open the windows apart from a crack due to safety locks so hotel room was really hot. Building works on my floor so the area smelt of paint, coming down the stairs from floor 2 the paint isn't finished off needs all cutting in. "

"Something in the bathroom was leaking onto the floor. There was a miscellaneous pill under the bed, and the sofa bed was horrendously uncomfortable, but a cheap room and friendly night staff when we arrived late!"

"This property claims to be accessible throughout its website; however, they only have one accessible room on the ground floor. The hotel itself is not accessible, nor are the rooms. As someone with a disability, I had to navigate two steep staircases to reach my room, which also contained stairs. The bathroom was extremely small and unsafe for disabled individuals. Fortunately, a family member was present to assist me, as I shudder to think what might have happened otherwise. No staff offered to help, and my prior request for assistance was ignored before my stay. I checked out immediately upon arrival and did not use the room. Expedia attempted to contact the property regarding false advertising and a refund, but all calls and emails have been ignored. This experience was unprofessional and misleading."

"A pleasant and relaxed stay in this comfortable hotel. Staff very attentive. Good a la carte dinner and substantial breakfast. Quiet surroundings. Shame there wasn't better views of the grounds but that is the layout of the house."
