The Dakota is a great place. It's comfortable, well-appointed, with pleasant, helpful staff. It makes a lot more out of its bar than its restaurant, however, which gives a clue as to what sort of clientele the hotel aims for. I found the service in both the restaurant and the bar realllly slow. Other than that, it was a great stay.
Lovely room, bathroom especially the shower was really nice! It was my son’s birthday and the staff couldn’t have been nicer… the decor and the whole vibe of the hotel was lovely, would definitely recommend… we love the northern quarter so the location was perfect for us. Right in the action but the rooms were really quiet…
returned to Dakota in Manchester to recharge for the next part of the journey. It’s a calm oasis - wonderful staff, great room and amenities and close to everything.
This hotel was once one of the better options in the area, but it’s starting to feel a little dated. The service is still good, but the rooms and facilities could use some refreshing. Still a decent stay, but not as impressive as it used to be.
Have stayed here multiple times now and it's my number one place to say when visiting Manchester. A few minutes walk from Manchester Piccadilly, set in a quieter part of the city yet still close enough to the centre and transport links.
The decor throughout the hotel sets a calming atmosphere, with no garish bright lights and colours. Very welcoming the moment you walk through the front door. Special mention to the restaurant as the quality and presentation of the meals are worthy of an instagram post.
