A nearby trash compactor was very loudly squeaking and grinding at inconvenient hours of the day and night. All the money for renovating has been spent on the entry way because the hallway to get to our room was trashed, ripped off wallpaper, holes in doors, stained carpet, totally gross. There was a "we care about wasting water" hanging thing about reusing the towels and not requiring fresh towels every day but there wasn't a low-flow head on the shower so clearly they don't actually care about water usage. The walls were really thin so you could totally hear the neighbour's conversations and showers. The bar area off of the reception area was actually a bit creepy, dirty, and badly lit. The breakfast is overpriced and they kept running out of food and taking their time replacing it which is not great for how much it costs and you don't have time to wait around. We had to ask repeatedly and wait for over an hour to get someone to bring us TP when we ran out. The hotel is in a great location though so bring ear plugs, ignore the creepy hallway and bar, and eat breakfast across the street at the little Italian cafe in the park. We wouldn't stay here again.
