"Overall a good experience for a family of 4. The price over the Bank Holiday was to be expected. PROS: -Across the street from the Brighton Pier and beach -Rooms are very basic and small, but clean -Room service was quick and helpful -Check-in was fast, and simple -Pool was clean -Poached eggs were available, and all you can eat breakfast buffet was great -Friendly and welcoming staff -Decent restaurant with kids menu -Close to city centre and many restaurants to choose from CONS: - Overpriced for what you get, but the kids wanted access to a pool, and to be close to the Pier, so we went for this option rather than an AirBNB. - Restaurant / breakfast food cooked with seed oils (rapeseed oil), so if you're ok with that then no problem - Rooms are small and basic, back room window barely opens, but assuming for security issues - Back room facing pub, back street felt like it could have been a few hundred pounds cheaper, due to noise, mosquitos and no view. - Inconsequential, but the kids noted "there's no hot tub" lol. Overall we liked the hotel, but £800+ for two nights was CRAZY expensive, but then again it was the May bank holiday heatwave week 2026, so everything during this time wasn't cheap or was fully booked. 3/4 stars overall due to VERY high price for dated, small, back street facing room. Thanks for having us!"

"Stayed at Harbour Hotel Brighton for my partner’s 30th birthday and honestly left disappointed. We arranged for a bottle of champagne and strawberries to be waiting in the room on arrival. Instead, we were delivered a warm bottle of Prosecco and told the champagne would arrive the next day. Despite mentioning it multiple times throughout the stay, it never appeared. The biggest issue though was the condition of the rooms. The first room was dirty, tired, and poorly maintained. Stains throughout the carpets, marks on furniture, rusty shower fittings, dirty skirting boards, grimy areas around the bathroom, and general lack of upkeep. We were moved to another room, but even that had stains all over the carpet and still felt worn out and neglected. To make matters worse, we received no housekeeping service until we specifically asked for it. The spa experience was mixed. My partner’s facial was apparently lovely, and the staff themselves were polite whenever we spoke to them, but the spa area also looked tired and poorly maintained. I also came out in a rash after using the hot tub, which made me question whether the chemical balance was being properly monitored. Despite booking a £100 treatment, there was still an extra £10 charge just to use the spa facilities, which felt a bit cheap for a hotel positioning itself as four-star luxury. This doesn’t seem like bad luck either — after looking through Google reviews, there are plenty of photos showing very similar room conditions."

"My husband and I totally enjoyed Our stay! Loved the ocean view room!! Really great to not think about breakfast in the morning(We had the breakfast included),great selection for breakfast and great location,close to All of the Brighton tourist attractions 😀All the staff were great,Thanks ever so much to everyone!!!"

"I mistakenly booked our room for Monday through Friday so I had to add Sunday night to our booking. Unbeknownst to me, I booked a different room. In lieu of dragging our luggage to a different room, we decided to stay where we were ( in the basement). That was a big mistake because we began to smell a strong odor of mold. When I asked to switch to our original room, I was told it was no longer available. The manager on duty said he would send someone to fix it, but mold is not something that can be fixed easily. I probably should have known when I saw a dehumidifier in the room and a sign not to turn the bathroom fan off. Luckily, we have not spent a ton of time in our room."
