"Location..it has beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. ( need a car) Rooms are very comfortable, tea /kettle etc. Stairs are a little steep. staff are lovely ,had a very pleasant stay. We arrived Saturday lunch time, they had a party of 40 in, but fitted us in and it was delicious! staff attentive and it arrived quickly so all good, so I am very sad ( and surprised ) to say breakfast was poor ! we didn't opt for the buffet and cooked ,rather just the cooked, it took ages to appear and when it did it was disappointing to say the least, and not worth the money such a shame ! We then came back for Sunday lunch ,the food was nice but service took a long time, we were not asked if we would like any condiments or if we needed anything else..we had to ask for the dessert menu..benefit of the doubt they were short staffed but.............! None of this would actually stop us booking again, but wouldn't bother with breakfast or Sunday lunch!"

"We've stayed here many times. The staff are always helpful, when you can find them. Our last visit, I couldnt get inside the gate to park and despite calling and calling again got no reply and therefore no help. The projector TV didnt work (not for the first time) and there was nobody on reception to report the problem to. Otherwise everything was very good."
