"I basically look for 4 things. A decent bed to sleep on, washing facilities in the room, a TV to sometimes watch, and a quality breakfast in the morning. I couldn't fault anything, it was all excellent. Plus they have other activities, swimming pool, games room, snooker room and lots more. Staff were absolutely brilliant and helped me anytime I asked a question. It was my first time on the island for over 50 years. There's a bar for drinking with an area also for live music, all together. It was perfect for me."

"the hotel is nicely placed near to Sandown Town centre and the beach. The hotel is large and is set in lovely grounds. Things that could be improved: - there was woodlice in our room, would be nice if these were eradicated - there is no footpath from the front of the hotel to the pavement outside the hotel. It means you have to walk along the access road to the hotel. Not nice with kids. - the breakfast is until 9am but by 845am was looking very tired. Would be good to have it properly refilled until 9am. - apart from the pool table there is nothing for children to do, this hotel is very much aimed at the retired short-break community. Overall the hotel was ok and served its purpose plus has red squirrels outside!"

"Hotel is clean and functional with all the basics needed for a stay on isle of wight. Parking is an advantage and locality just 5 minutes to shops & Beach. Our family of 4 loved the breakfast and hospitality, host was knowledgeable & willing to answer questions. Room needs some Tlc & updating, but I still prefer these hotels to big chains. Overall, I would recommend this hotel as long your expectations are not of 5 star experience. its basic and offers an affordable option for the Area."

"The 3 storey town house enjoyed a superb location 100 yards from Sandown beach . Off road parking to rear , additional space on the development . The layout of the property provided several balconies to sit out and enjoy views over the sea . Great kitchen for cooking , TVs in most rooms , several flights of stairs so not suitable for those who would struggle . We slept with the sounds of waves breaking on the beach at night which was amazing . Some feed back about the town house complained about the balcony modest screens being opaque and spoiling the view ! We found them a perfect height as tour buses go past on the road outside , the screens provide some privacy plus obvious safety . If you have cycles ! The garage is secure storage . Opposite on the beach is a funky bar and grill ! Doesn’t stay open late in the evening so it’s great for a drink and meal . Plenty of Restaurants and bars a short walk into the town along the beach front . Pitch and Putt also along the front in walking distance . A great time for us and our friends, we will definitely come back to the Island for longer next visit . It was a really good experience and can’t think of anything that could be improved upon ."
