"First of all, Sarah and Malcolm are the perfect hosts. They always go out of their way to help whenever needed while giving you the space to enjoy your holiday.This was our fifth stay, and that probably says everything about how much we enjoy coming here. Even after several visits, we still find plenty of new things to do and, if anything, we enjoyed this holiday even more now that we know the area better and have our favourite places to visit.We stayed during the early July heatwave. While temperatures at home were approaching 40C indoors, Devon was much more comfortable, with temperatures in the high 20s and far lower humidity. The cottage remained cool throughout the day, making it a pleasure to return to after spending time at the beach or exploring the local area.The location is hard to beat. There are beautiful beaches within a few miles which this year had crystal clear water and other places to visit within easy drives. We particularly enjoy being able to step straight onto the footpaths from the accommodation and walk with the dog and family to Bantham for breakfast before wandering back - stay alert crossing the cow fields and keep dogs on the lead!The cottage itself is comfortable, well-equipped and has everything we need for a relaxing stay. It really does feel like a home from home.We have made some wonderful family memories here over the years and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, dog-friendly base."

"The cube 2 was great , clean, modern , private and the tech inside is more than you could ever need.The only one bad thing was the decking it’s well weathered and very slippery, it’s all well and good having a sign saying decking slippery but no preventative measures have been taken to improve it like grip strips or a good clean to remove the greening.Communication from owner was great , would definitely visit again , hot tub was spot on"

"This was our second stay at Fowlescombe Farm and it only reinforced our view that it is one of the most special places to stay in the UK. This time we stayed in the Pond Suite, which was every bit as beautifully designed and comfortable as our previous accommodation, with lovely views across the surrounding countryside. Being one of just three rooms within the Farmhouse, we particularly enjoyed having direct access to the spacious, well-equipped kitchen and the cosy lounge areas downstairs. Having visited previously in October, it was wonderful to experience the property in a completely different season. The landscape had transformed and the grounds looked stunning. The new pond area is particularly impressive and, once open, will add natural swimming and sauna facilities that look set to be another fantastic addition. Most of all, I echo everything from my previous review. The highest compliment I can pay Fowlescombe Farm is that staying there feels less like being in a hotel and more like staying with relatives - exceptionally stylish relatives, with impeccable taste, beautiful surroundings and outstanding food. It remains a rare place that combines genuine warmth with luxury, and we are already looking forward to returning again."
