not worth it at all. Please save your money
The hotel wasn’t the cleanest. There were two dead bugs in the room. Biggest issue, the hotel has advertised that they have a 24/7 front desk. But they don’t. Their front desk closes at 10pm. The hotel has refused to provide any genuine reason for this or offer even a partial refund / compensation about this according to hotels.com. One main reason for me booking the hotel was the 24/7 front desk so really very disappointed Breakfast was really bad. They have no vegan options at all. They give you two absolutely tiny crossaints and dry bun. The rest you have to order from the menu. So I ordered toast with scrambled egg. They gave me a corner of a toast. It wasn’t even a full slice of toast. Even then the corner was very over cooked. On our last day, we asked for some extra crossaints and the lady said she has to go speak to her manager about this. She brought the crossaints but I felt so uncomfortable asking for more because of that There is no AC in the room and there is no room temperature control. The temperature fluctuates with the temperature outside. We asked to borrow a fan for an hour the lady said I will go ask my manager and never got back to us on this. The walls are very thin, if you stand in the bathroom you can hear all the conversations from the room next door. if you want the view just go to brunate during the day. The hotel also doesn’t respond to emails at all. I would at least like them respond / give me some support.

Incredible stay at Hotel Paradiso. All staff are very welcoming and ensure that you have everything you need to make you stay most enjoyable. Would highly recommend this place to anyone, espcially those who look a good hike! Make sure you plan your days ahead is one thing I suggest

Roberto and the entire team were amazing, they really wanted us to enjoy our stay, very friendly, and they made recommendations of where to visit and the best way to get there. The views of the lake from the hotel were absolutely stunning!

Good hotel with Great Outlook!
Great stay in a quiet and peaceful area with fantastic views. Room was fairly basic but very clean, missed having Aircon at night though! Staff (Laura in particular) were super helpful and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Location is very remote (on top Of a mountain!) but some good local restaurants within walking distance.

The hotel is nice (but not as nice as the photos on the Hotels.com site would have you believe) but the view of lake Como is what makes it worthwhile. Unfortunately Hotels.com charged me extra to ensure a parking space but when we arrived the hotel told me that parking was included in the booking so i was cheated out of 14 euros.

the best place to stay in Como
This hotel is one of the best place to stay in Como. It is on the hill, where you can have the bet scenery ever, close to many attractions, allows access to fenikuler etc. There are couple of restaurants around. They are very helpful in getting you around and suggesting the best places, restaurants and so on. We will come back here.

We stayed at Hotel Paradiso Sul Lago for 3 nights in mid September, and we loved our stay! It was very quiet, relaxing and the views were spectacular. We were lucky to have a room with a lake and pool view. The rooms were clean with a comfy bed and nice en-suite bathroom. The hotel staff were really friendly and most helpful - they were always happy to take us to and collect us from the Funicolare (the transport into Como) otherwise it would have been a bit of a walk. We also wanted to go paddle-boarding on the lake, and the staff insisted on making some calls for us to enquire. Nothing was too much for them. Sadly their kitchen facilities were out of order during our stay so we couldn't eat in their restaurant (which they were also disappointing about), but they were happy to make suggestions for other options which were very nice. The pool was nice, albeit a bit cold(!) but it was lovely to warm up then in the hot tub and have a drink on the terrace. If you're looking for a place in the 'thick of it' in terms of bustling bars and restaurants, then this is probably isn't for you as it's a bit out of Como. But if you're looking for a nice, quiet, relaxing family run hotel with jaw dropping views and accommodating staff then this place is ideal.

This is just the bullet points... straight to the detail... >Amazing location in the hills, so 30mins from Como...not a problem >near out of season for us... hotel wasnt at its best... hot tub wasnt working initially, pool freezing. > food was a problem... no availability during the day, just breakfast...didnt try the evening food on account Como was there! >Breakfast until 10am...then its promptly gone. Same every day...pretty basic. > clean hotel >Hotel could do with some maintenance..electricals, etc. >staff are family....Friendly and helpful >Fanicular wasnt working...check it. >dont rent a car...not needed..and roads are difficult...extremely narrow with hairpin bends...no where to park in Como really.

Apart from the wonderful view we had the best breakfast of our 5 day stay around Lake Como. We would love to come again. It was lovely and quiet and we ate at a very good neighbouring restaurant - only tiny pick is perhaps the decor needs up bit of pulling together into one style - that’s really it.

Hotel basic but nice people and amazing views
The rooms are not big and furniture is basic. Could really all do with a makeover. But the views are stunning (make sure you get a lake view) and the family running the hotel are super friendly and helpful. We were a bit early in the year (midMarch) so it was very quiet and Como itself is quite far away for a night out unless you have a car, which I’d say is essential. Brunate was coming to life as we left and it looked like there were quite a few nice restaurants etc. We went to the pole terra across the road from the hotel on our last night and had a great meal (avoiding donkey stew!). Overall a very good experience. Just don’t expect to be in the lap of luxury!

The building is old and tired. Rooms are dimly lit and smell of smoke. It is very dangerous to get to at the top of a windy, almost one lane road with a lot of traffic. All in All just not the experience you are looking for. We left a day before our reservation was over just to go somewhere nicer. Nothing to do with the hotel, but the pollution is so bad you cannot see the town below the hotel due to the smog.

In the beginning my husband and I felt disappointed coz the hotel seemed so isolated with nothing to do in the area except two quiet restaurants but as soon as the staff advised about the cable car and we started using it we felt we picked the perfect location with the greatest view. Friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, good breakfast, I would recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel with best views ever!
The views from this hotel were absolutely amazing! Well worth the interesting drive to get there. The staff couldn't have been nicer and the atmosphere at the hotel was friendly and happy. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. The air conditioner wasn't the best which made for some hot nights but sleeping with the windows opened helped. But that wouldn't stop me recommending this family run hotel!

Basic rooms in a hotel with STUNNING views
Brunate is a small village about 500m above Lake Como, accessed by a typical windy hillside road. The views from the hotel over the lake once you get there are STUNNING. We arrived just after midnight (about 2 hours after usual check in time) but the owner / manager still greeted us cordially. We had taken a taxi from our arrival at Milan main rail station at 2230 and this took nearly an hour and cost EUR 125. Tip: If you are arriving this way tell the hotel and they will organise a much cheaper pick up, and be ready for your arrival. We suspect our late arrival meant we got rooms on the road side, so no grand views of the lake on flinging open the windows in the morning, but all the public rooms, terrace and next door light house have great views so not a huge loss if only there one night. Our rooms were "basic" (maybe a function of the cheapest, less well-appointed being allocated to Hotels.com?), but given our short stay, not an issue. The owner gave us a free lift to the funicular railway down into the town centre in the morning - this would be a good way to arrive also, if during mid pm.

Beautiful view and perfect comfort
Beautiful view of the lake. We had a small balcony to step out and watch the boats down below travel on the lake. It's super quiet and peaceful. The service is friendly and polite. The hotel is about a 5 minute drive from the Brunate funicular stop but the hotel staff will pick you up and drop you off whenever you need. Don't miss out on having dinner at La Polenteria across the street! We went there two nights in a row. It was so good. The lighthouse is only a 3 minute walk from the hotel and definitely worth the view. If you want to be exploring the Como area, probably you want to stay at the bottom of the hill. But if you want to feel far away from the noise, this is the place for you!

The view from this hotel is truly breathtaking. It is exactly what the pictures depict. The staff was amazing. They really go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The food and drinks from the restaurant were good as well. If you plan on getting to this hotel without a taxi do know that it is a bit of a trek. From the main train station it is about a 15 minute walk to the cable car that will take you up the mountain (about ten minutes). Once you get to the top the hotel staff will come get you - from there it is less than a ten minute drive.

The hotel is located at the top of one of he mountains close to lake Como. It has beautiful views of the lake, clean rooms and very friendly staff. If you intend to visit the lake the best way is by boat so you can use the cable train to go up and down with no problems. Bellagio is a beautiful city and has a lot to discover and many good resstaurants. Also, close to the hotel there are excellent restaurants. We enjoyed out family stay at this hotel!

Road trip to Rome
It has the most fantastic view . The journey up the mountain and the hair pin bends was a little stressful but once we reached the hotel it's a really special place . The staff are friendly and accommodating .the piazzas next door are excellent . It was a bit cold for the pool and hot tub but they would be great in the summer. Would definitely recommend it .

Very friendly and caring staff. We stayed there for 1 night but everything was perfect, there is also a pool however they charge for the towels which makes sense. We ordered beverage and coffee a couple of time and the price was fair. The area is very nice if you are into walking and hiking, the road toward the hotel is a bit tricky. It is very close to the Volta lighthouse and about 30 minutes walking/hiking to the funicular station which takes you directly to Como in less that 10 minutes.

The drive up and down is scary at best, unless you are used to driving hairpin turns and blind curves. It was an experience to say the least. Once there it is absolutely lovely! We are please we chose this location. It was incredibly peaceful and the views are magnificent. The staff were very accommodating an happy to help. The whole place was clean and kept well. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Drive up tricky but worth it!
Once we reached the hotel, the staff was amazing- very helpful especially when we arrived from an overnight flight 4 hours before check in. Room was clean and the view was amazing. Food was great. Parking free! If you do not have a car they have a trolley that comes up from Lake Como- straight up the hill and the hotel staff will pick you up and drive you back to the trolley as needed. We would definately stay again!

Going up to Brunate with your rental car is great. We love the twisty & tight road. The view was fantastic. Riding the funicular to Lake Como was also great. Overall-Great hotel staff and location.

A million dollar view of lake Como
the hotel is very clean and has a perfect location to enjoy the lake Como view and the city on the valley. The driving there was a little Challenging but when you get there you will enjoy the view. The owners are very nice and friendly people ready to help. They offers us a glass of champagne when we get there. Room was very clean and the bathroom also. We had a room with lake view from the balcony and we were so impress with that Million dollar view. Was a very nice experience staying there.

Amazing views. Pleasant hotel staff. My daughter compared the ride up the mountain to a Roller coaster ride. Sudden turns, sharp inclines. Worth the ride for the view.
