"The view and setting really made the trip and the staff were so lovely, kind and helpful! Watching the sunset each evening outside on the rocks was glorious. The complementary breakfast was really great, fresh baked croissants and a list of hot options. The rooms were clean and basic but just want was needed really. The location was fantastic for some great walks and sightseeing. I really enjoyed our 2 nights there and would go back."

"It is hard to find words that truly do this gem of a cottage justice. Appleloft is situated in a very quiet and sheltered location, really allowing you to switch off from the outside world and immerse yourself in the beauty of Cornwall but within good reach of lots of places to visit and things to see. Being exceptionally well equipped, the cottage enables you to literally feel completely at home! The beds were superb and it is not an exaggeration to say that we slept like babies each and every night. My final word has to go to Robert and Carolyn who were sublime hosts. There was a lovely welcome pack on arrival that contained a huge wealth of information, accompanied by tea and biscuits. They were also attentive of our stay, ensuring that we had everything we needed and being easily contactable if anything arose. To them, thank you!"

"This is a charming cottage in a picturesque location. Itâ€™s comfortable and very clean, with a sunny garden. The parking space is a real bonus but, as others have said, access is quite tight. The cream tea we discovered on arrival was a lovely way to welcome us. I would have given Jarvies 5 stars across the board but there were a few things that needed fixing. Also, I missed not having a wooden spoon and spatula to cook with, but maybe thatâ€™s just me! One evening the local pub had a live Cornish folk band playing which we really enjoyed. The food was good as well. We would definitely stay here again. ."

"We stayed at this property for three days. Almost everything was clean, new, and well-organized. There were only a few small issues which, if resolved, would make it worthy of a full 5-star rating.The first thing that caught our attention upon arrival was some dust on one of the sofas, which seemed to have been missed and overlooked by the cleaner.The second issue, which was disappointing for us, was the hot tub. This hot tub model appears to be somewhat old. On the first night, the water temperature was 38C, but after about 30 minutes of use, it dropped to 32C and suddenly turned off completely. We thought it might be broken and considered informing the owner, but the next morning we saw that it was working again and the temperature was appropriate. However, the following night the temperature dropped to 33C and we were unable to use it. On the last day, since it was raining, we wanted to use the hot tub in the evening, but once again it was off and the water was very cold. As it was 10 pm, we did not want to disturb the owner.Overall, apart from these two issues and a few minor things that can easily be fixed, the place was very peaceful. The nature was beautiful, the house was warm and very clean, and all the equipment and furnishings were new and in excellent condition. We are very grateful."
