The staff were warm and inviting, especially the proprietor Simon. The room was tidy and clean. The best was the 14th Century building with a carriageway entrance for a front door and nary a straight line or level floor board to be found. This is a rare gem. And, strange for such an old building, the best shower in all of Cornwall (hot and high pressure). I got to sample the new Indian cuisine that could soon be available at the hotel. I hope so. It’s excellent!

A quaint place to stay, okay for one night. Extremely hard to find anywhere close to park.

Thank-you for your review. There is limited street parking in the centre of the village, especially in peak season and evenings. Fortunately the village owns a large free car park which is 2 minutes walk away at EX23 9DS. Best wishes Simon.

The Tree Inn is such a unique property, steeped in history, and truly feels like being transported in time, Simon and co have created a fantastic blend of contemporary modern whilst retaining the Ye Olde nature of the buildings interior and the exterior is as it was so long ago. The courtyard within the grounds is a fantastic place to dine and experience local ale, which is superb. Get your Tudor on, book a Trip and experience one of the oldest Inns in Cornwall...Bravo

Great value quirky hotel ...loved it
Lovely stay, was let in early to drop stuff off. My bad, didn't realise it was shared facilities but honestly it didn't matter. So comfy and spotless, haven't slept so well in ages. Would highly recommend. The live music on the Friday was awesome 👌

I am sorry you didn't value your stay. We do clearly state that breakfast is continental and therefore self serve. By not having a chef in the morning we are able to keep our prices keen and the 53.30 we received for a large double room I think is very good value towards the end of high season as is the 10 dish of the day.

Very reasonable price. Lovely old historic property. Very friendly staff. Option of Home cooked meal also reasonably priced. Relaxed help yourself breakfast. Lovely olde pub great selection of gins.

No on suite bathroom but I didn’t expect a lot for £55 and half a days notice but what I did get was a clean twin room for my mother and me over a nice courtyard with a hospital welcome and free breakfast,I also got to enjoy that breakfast in the bedroom now dinning hall of the late Giant of Stratton Anthony pain the yeoman of Stratton which I thought was pretty cool, the locals seemed nice though a bit rowdy how ever I thought this added to coach house/highway man/ smuggler inn feel of the place and definitely a spot for ghost hunters and enthusiasts of the paranormal, thanks for your hospitality

Thank-you James, we have 2 ghosts but both are benign and friendly and one only appears every 10 years. We do try to keep the volume down come 11pm when we close the bars but we are a jolly place where locals mix with visitors in a convivial setting. The wood burners will be on next week which adds another feel. Thank you for visiting.

I am sorry that your stay was interupted by noise we mostly have quiet guests and are in a semi rural setting away from busy roads and at the weekend we close at midnight even when we have live music, there is always free parking nearby which is a bonus in Cornwall

Stayed 17th july one night lovely old litsted building very quirky which i liked but restaurant was not open nor anywhere else nearby ! So had to travel 3miles to find somewhere to eat not pleased as already travelled for 5hrs no parki g at the property and all double yellow lines outside so had to just take a chance ! Make your own breakfast and supply it ! In not a very clean kitchen ! Rooms were comfortable and clean very cute courtyard to have a drink in

Quirky and welcoming pub
What a find! Brilliant little pub with rooms near Bude. Loved Simon and Honey Rose, so friendly and welcoming. I stayed in the single room, very comfortable and clean. Absolutely loved the breakfast situation with a help yourself to the kitchen vibe. Proper coffee machine, sourdough bread, bananas. It’s great value, full character and a fab stay.

Memorable stay at The Tree Inn
A brilliant evening in the pub was followed by a great nights sleep in the accomodation. Dennis was great fun and really helpful. The pub is amazing with bags of character and lots of history. Good value for money and great set up for help yourself breakfast. Would definitely recommend.

Authentic, real wooden wardrobe & chest of drawers, good sized bedroom, friendly service, plenty of tea & coffee products with electric kettle in room. Really good breakfast room & good chat with breakfast guests, friendly vibe, would not hesitate to stay here again. Lovely courtyard with lots of lovely planted flowers, I had a peaceful time, can't wait to stay here again
