The Grey Cottage - charming cottage close to Gleneagles Hotel

9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (37)
"Our party was two married couples all about 60 years old staying one night. We found the space clean, well stocked with a small grocery store close by. The owner was easy to communicate with and provided excellent information. Renters do need to be aware of the loft bedroom access via pull down ladder as some might find it challenging. However, we did not and would stay there again."

St Johns Jailhouse by the Castle

10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (7)
"The pre arrival information was comprehensive and we had no problems finding the accommodation, gaining access and parking. The area was perfect for sightseeing, if needed the hop on bus stopped jest a minutes walk away. We also arranged a visit to the observatory at the Stirling Highland Hotel which was close by so thanks to Bert for that. The accommodation was high quality and had everything you need either to cook at home or make a light meal. The beds were the most comfortable I’ve ever slept...

Stirling Youth Hostel

4.0 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (93)
"The hostel is very well located, just about a 10-minute walk from the train station and only a few minutes from the castle and historic center. We had a private room for three with its own bathroom — clean, bright, comfortable, and well equipped. The only downside was the wooden floor that creaked all the time. We highly recommend it for a short stay in Stirling. We didn’t use the kitchen, but it looked very clean and well equipped."
