Ocean Dream Hotel! Not dreamy! Look elsewhere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The property is very dated, and they're fighting a losing battle with the maintenance. Some roaches in the bedroom sink area. Peeling paint and many things in the room were poorly patched. In the common areas things were a bit better. The worst part was the house keeping - virtually non-existent. Bed sheets were stained (bleached clean but stained) - finally changed after 3 requests. Used glasses and cups were not removed from the room. No room coffee or water after day 1 - super. Dining area food and drink was also expensive. They're squeezing every penny out of this property; at your expense. I'd camp on the beach before I'd stay here again.........................

The hotel is in disrepair. It is old, but not well maintained. Handles missing in the shower, furniture scratched, elevators working well but the appearance is poor. The worst part was that by 8 am, towels for the pool and the beach were not available. This apparently is a minor thing, but in a resort where the pool and the beach are the main attractions, not having towels available for the guests is a basic problem and it is due to poor management. The buffet restaurant is very good, and the other restaurants are very good if you get there early, otherwise the wait maybe 1 1/2 hours to get you food. I think the kitchens maybe short of staff. To be fair, the hamburger in the Manhattan was one of the best i have had in a long time. The Italian restaurant Florence was good except for the wait. The alcoholic drinks are good tasting but watered down. It is a good place for children, they enjoy their time there. If they just maintained the facilities better and they had towels for the guests, it could be a 4 1/2 stars.
