"I originally booked a room with a double queen for three people with an ocean view in April for an early October stay and paid in full at the time of booking. In July, I was informed that due to new construction at the property, the room was no longer an ocean view room. The option offered in response was an ocean view room (subject to availability) with only one queen bed, so this was not a viable option being offered by management as we originally booked two queen beds for three people. The other option was to remain in the double queen room, with an early check-out or late check-out as compensation. This was rather a pathetic attempt at compensating me for paying for an ocean view room, but giving me a non-ocean view room and I expressed this to the property manager. I asked that my room rate should be adjusted based on the difference between ocean and non-ocean view room, but the manager informed me the rates are different as of July so she couldn't do that (makes no sense). I eventually got a reduction in the room rate after much back and forth. I should not have had to argue for a reduction in the room rate. Also, given I was told in July about the issue, it was too late to try to book alternative ocean view rooms in the Rockport area as they were already booked up. Overall, management constantly left me feeling like I was being a burden with my inquiries and objections to the change in room reservation, and room rates. Great property, but poor on-site mgt."

"We decided to take a quick trip to the Gloucester/Rockport area to visit a college friend. I’ve never spent time in this area and decided to come on a whim after watching a food show profiling the food in this area. What a lovely town and enhanced by staying in this lovely appointed home. This home is well equipped and comfortable. Marta, the owner, was quick to respond with any of our queries. It is in a great location - walking distance to the town and Old Garden Beach. Picturesque town with lots of galleries to peruse and just walk around and enjoy nature. Highly recommend this house and visiting this town!"

I parked my car and forgot about it for three days and did a lot of walking along the cliffs, to the beach and around the charming little town of Rockport. The location could not have been more beautiful. The proximity to the ocean was incredible. The nearby centre with its charming shops was such a pleasure to visit. I would come back in a heartbeat! My whole family (including my 2 kids) loved everything about the experience."
