"I had a lovely stay. This was part three of four of a multi city journey - and honestly, it was the best one. This hotel has incredible charm and the staff were so helpful, kind, and considerate. I was traveling with a toddler - which is already stressful enough - but the staff did everything they could to make sure I had what I needed: from upgrading me to a larger room to accommodate a travel crib, to even opening the breakfast a little bit early so i could feed the baby and offering me a larger mug of coffee than is normally offered at the table. I love how modern & clean the rooms feel compared to the old world charm of the building. The only thing that would’ve made this trip better (even though it was already amazing) would be a free or paid laundry service on site. What are you doing? A note to those with limited mobility: the hotel can feel like a maze and there are narrow hallways and stairs a-plenty. This should be expected for those who typically stay in older buildings, but I could see it catching someone off guard. In all, a terrific stay."

"There was no food service at the pub. The beer was good, pub had friendly atmosphere. On site parking was a bit misleading. There was a public car park down the street, seemed safe, but you had to pay"

"We were wholly impressed with Mount Wolseley. Superb, caring staff at reception. Excellent staff throughout stay. Large, well appointed rooms. I was the only one in our party who used the swimming pool and apart from a lack of chairs and recliners it was a lovely environment"

"Comfortable & clean"

"Stayed at the Lodges because the castle was unavailable. The lodge was very outdated. Definitely not a 4 star experience. We had a beautiful view of a field of dandelions. We were treated like second class citizens throughout our brief stay. Went to the castle to check in and was told check in was at the golf pro shop. Huh? Went to the pro shop five minutes before the 4pm check time and was casually told room wasn’t ready and to come back in 30 minutes. Was promised breakfast to-go at 7:30 since our flight out of Dublin airport was early and dining service did not start until 8am. Of course, no breakfast to-go was ready when we departed at 7:45. All of other stays in Ireland were outstanding. Take my advice, stay clear of the Lodges at Kilkea Castle. "
