"The staff was helpful and kind. The room was spacious with a beautiful view. Breakfast was available but the hours started and ended too early so I didn’t get to enjoy it. Maybe on my next visit because I will certainly be returning! We have found our new favorite spot for quiet day trips and quick getaways!"

"We love it at this hotel, but I didn’t give it 5 stars this time because it smelled musty in the lobby and in our room, and our bathroom was where I could smell it the worst. Last time we stayed, we were given an upstairs room but this time we were downstairs very near the lobby. I figured it was from the weather and being so close to the beach. We also had trouble with the refrigerator in our room and we lost some of our perishable food the first night. It didn’t stay as cold as it should have and I did not trust it for the lunch meats or eggs, they smelled off so I had to throw them out. We still ate our cheese though and it seemed ok. We ate out the whole weekend but we had brought some food for lunches and snacks. It was not the fault of the hotel and I didn’t want to seem like a complainer, plus I figured the hotel was sold out and we probably wouldn’t be able to switch rooms, so I mentioned it all at checkout, The front desk made note of it and they said they would look into both issues. Overall however, the stay was wonderful as usual and the staff were great, especially the evening staff. Parking is awesome, there is a free garage, and the location can’t be beat. We love the property, the pools, hot tub, fire pits, and cabana with everything we need for the beach. It’s a great family place and there is always the sound of babies and small children, which makes you smile. We will stay again for sure, but we will request a room upstairs or not near the lobby next time."

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Carlsbad - Legoland Area

"This hotel was fine for what we needed. However, while I understand the local price is high and that is ultimately why we stayed here, it felt like a ripoff. The motel 6 we stayed at prior was better. Breakfast was good! We did not use the pool. I did like that we could walk to the beach from the hotel. It’s not terrible…. It’s just okay, fine. lol The bathroom was kinda gross. The air conditioner worked but leaked water outside our room pretty badly. I am sure that will take a toll on the building eventually."

Hilton Garden Inn Carlsbad Beach

"Stay was decent overall with location convenient to local beaches and Carlsbad Village. Nice pool and jacuzzi. Room service and housekeeping daily was attentive. Our specific room met most of our needs but unfortunately it had an unusual musty smell. The AC vent also was quite rusty. Maybe this specific Hilton is a little dated. Almost little to no hooks in the bathroom to hang towels or clothes. Thankfully there were plenty of hangers to use. Never understood why hotels charge separate for daily parking fee, as if there is an option to opt out and park elsewhere. $29 dollars seems to be a little steep for daily parking fee. Parking fee should just be built into the daily room rate."

LEGOLAND California Hotel

"We had a great stay. The staff was so kind and accommodating. Room was clean and super fun for my kid. We loved all of the fun decorative details in our room. Loved the kids dance club. This was our first trip to Legoland and we will be back soon."

West Inn & Suites

"It was a very nice stay for our family. The room was very spacious and we appreciated the additional living room. It was quiet at night. The breakfast was pretty decent and standard. Our kids enjoyed the milk and cookies. We’ll definitely stay here again."
