"We had a wonderful stay at Catalonia Royal Tulum. The hotel itself was very clean, and one of our absolute favorite parts was the walk from the main area to the pool and beach—it’s a beautiful jungle path that really makes the experience feel unique and peaceful. Along the way, we saw lots of coatis, which were so fun and added to the whole nature vibe. The restaurants were very good overall, and we upgraded to the Privilege package, which was definitely worth it—especially for access to the Bloved restaurant, which we loved. The beach was absolutely beautiful. We spent so much time just sitting, relaxing, and enjoying the view. The breakfast buffet was also a highlight—very expansive with tons of options, so there was always something for everyone. The only downside for us was the amount of smoking throughout the resort. Unfortunately, we often couldn’t leave our balcony door open because of the cigarette smell, and it was noticeable in many areas. It’s a bit of a drawback, especially in such a stunning natural setting. Overall, a great stay with beautiful surroundings, good food, and a relaxing atmosphere—with just that one area for improvement."

"Clean property and well maintained. Staff was attentive but English was tough for some of the staff workers. Pool bar was slow and there is no drink service at the beach. Entertainment was great but the restaurants left you hungry still. Overall a great hotel which we will visit again. Pools were amazing and not crowded. "

"Everything about this hotel was THE BEST! All of the staff was friendly and attentive. They have amenities I hadn’t seen before. The swim up pool on our back patio was so fun. The room was very clean and well stocked daily, they even offer turn down service. Food at every restaurant was SO GOOD! Food allergies? No problem! They will help identify dishes meeting your dietary needs and will even prepare food not on the menu “special” for you in the kitchen. Highly recommend getting a hydrotherapy session at the spa, followed this up with a massage, what an experience! I highly suggest going with “premier”, worth every penny! We will be back!!"

"The pool is amazing! Top notch hotel. Enrique, buffet waiter, is the best. The only downfall to this hotel is reservations to restaurants. You can only make one reservation per day and most reservations are already full. We could only get reservations at restaurants at the end of our stay because every other day was full. "

"Chez Waffle has a pretty back lounge area with view of the water and fish swimming into the inlet. The condition of the rooms is a bit dated. The prices of food on the high side. It is extremely quiet in this gated community. If you want lots to do, you are isolated. I did diviving and day trips every day, so spend little time at the hotel (only evenings). The local busses that run between Playa an d Tulum are excellent. Very cheap! Overall, enjoyed my stay and would do this again. I recommend it."
