"Wonderful gem! We had a whirlwind stay for just 2 nights between docking at Southampton and leaving for Heathrow, but we crammed in a trip to Brighton to see family. The location of the inn was perfect: we could've gone into central Southampton easily enough, and having the train station a few minutes walk away was perfect for getting around. I only wish we'd had more energy and time to hang around the pub some more!"

"Horrible room, dirt and grime everywhere. Sticky floor. Bed clearly just remade after previous guests or squatters, black hairs and pubes. Bed cushion had ominous stains! Slept fully clothed! No WiFi code despite being the selling point and even requesting it. Was told to let them know if arriving after 9pm or they couldn’t help with anything, which I did, but no response to wifi question! Weird selection of a couple of old forks, bowls, mug and the kettle didn’t work and smelled like someone...

The guy on tne intercom said he had been living there for 11 weeks So contacted the feeder company and they were not available Was on foot so tried desperately to get a taxi to no avail. They had no knowledge of my booking through Expedia when I ran to check but then subsequently told me that the room was still available and they booked the room directly for me.
