"What a beautiful hotel. We had an extremely comfortable well equipped room We ate lunch and dinner in the Horse Box brasserie. Both meals were excellent but the prawn starter in the evening was one of the best I’ve had. The staff were all delightful and helpful but particular praise has to go to Marley in the brasserie. I hope to return one day but it’s a bit of a way from home."

"Staff helpful and friendly. Free parking for 24 hours . Room ok BUT had a funny mouldy smell even with the window open . Good choice at breakfast. Very satisfied apart from the odour in the room . Ideal position for appointment at the Nuffield hospital"

"The breakfast was ok not great It was a bit dark in the breakfast room As the nicer room Was being used by a regular person who was going to have a meeting so I felt we had been left with a dark breakfast room Which was very dark and somewhat disappointing. We had paid for bed and Breakfast . It would have been far nicer in the dining room we had our meal in the previous night."
The Slaughters Country Inn

"The Inn is set in a very pretty location. The textiles in the room are in much need of updating; however, they are very comfortable rooms. The bathroom was large and adequately stocked. We had a large room, but there were people above us that made so much noise it made sleep very difficult. The staff were very nice and helpful. Both this property and the Manor house across the street have been acquired recently by a new company. I do hope this company will do everything it can to improve the food in the restaurant at the Inn. It Desperately needs a real bar. Thank goodness we were able to go across the street to The Manor to have our meals and cocktails there. As there is nothing to do in Lower Slaughter, you have to drive everywhere if you want any type of nighttime activity. It is ideal for a one night stay; however, we were there for three nights."
