Hyatt Regency McCormick Place Chicago
10/10 Excellent
"We will 100% use this hotel again if we are in Chicago again. Well located to what we needed and super helpful staff!"
Hilton Garden Inn Chicago McCormick Place
10/10 Excellent
"The room that we placed through Expedia was clean and comfortable, the view on the room was incredible. When we arrived everyone was very friendly, one of the things I didn’t like was there wan no parking which it really sucks but you have to find parking around the area and pay for it. They do have Valet but it’s a different charge as well. Overall the stay at the hotel was fun, my children and family had lots of fu"
Congress Plaza Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Check-in was super quick and staff was very efficient and helpful. Booked a standard room with a king size bed facing the lake and it was a very nice weekend stay. Room was very clean. The AC is off central heatingThe location is incredibly convenient if you’re going somewhere near the lake or downtown."
Marriott Marquis Chicago
10/10 Excellent
"Hotel was very clean, room was very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Walking distance to a lot of food places and to our destination (soldier field). Would highly recommend this place. Although I wished they offered free breakfast. Breakfast comes with extra cost."
Hilton Chicago
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed for one night at this beautiful and historic hotel. We enjoyed walking through the lobby looking at the history setup they had. The rooms were clean, the view from our room was amazing. We had a lake view + a view of the Buckingham Fountain. The staff was super helpful they were posted throughout the lobby floor ready to help and direct you to your destination. We had the breakfast buffet and the food was great, they had a good variety of breakfast food."
Jaslin Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"This is my second stay at the Jaslin and I cannot recommend this hotel enough. The staff is kind and professional, the rooms have everything we need and are well kept, the view is incredible, and the location is awesome! You can easily walk to anywhere in Chinatown. My friend and I even walked to Soldier Field from this hotel (I believe it was about 1.5 miles). You’re a 10-15 minute ride from places like the Art Institute, Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum, and Union Station. If you’re coming in from O’Hare, take the blue line to downtown before getting a ride, it’ll save you a lot of time. I will definitely stay here again!"
Chinatown Hotel Chicago
8/10 Good
"Honestly, our room was more expensive than what it's worth because there was a big concert in downtown Chicago and everything closer was easily more expensive or in really sketchy areas. It is pretty rundown and need of a deep clean (it smelled like dust and mildew pretty much everywhere but in our room.)There's no appliances in the room, but the air conditioning worked really well, so there's that. We didn't encounter any roaches or bedbugs or anything, but there was visible mold in the shower and sink drain. The bathroom door was also completely off the bottom set of hinges, but the staff did offer to fix it! (We didn't care enough to have them do so haha) The saving grace for this hotel was that it's right in the middle of Chinatown, and it felt like a pretty safe area. There's paid public parking lots and pay-to-park spots on the streets, but the area is walkable and there's buses and a train station less than a block over. The staff was super nice, though! They have a ring camera at the front desk for outside of business hours in case no one's there. I needed more towels before the hotel was technically open, and I swear the guy had ran to get there so he could grab them for me. Overall, I've definitely stayed at worse hotels, but they definitely were cheaper than this one haha."
McCormick Suites by Slumber Stay
10/10 Excellent
"The place was clean and contemporary. We did get a free upgrade when we arrived that added a couple of bedrooms. There’s an attendant at the building’s entrance 24/7 and a code required so we felt secure. The place is incredibly close to China town. It’s a pretty good walk to an EL so we Ubered to/from the blue line with luggage, but walked to the red line to get to Wrigley. They have a pretty well equipped gym with dumbbell pairs to around 75#, a cage, benches, and plates and straight bar that’ll total at least 225#-enough to get in a vacation or business workout. They also have treadmills and precors. I would suggest getting a lat pulldown machine so one can work back with more than bent over rows. The TV selection was a bit wonky. I think there were free app options, but we ended up signing into our personal streaming apps. The catch is, you gotta remember to log out before you leave. Their online pictures of the spaces were a bit confusing. I don’t think they reflected the exact space we rented. I think they did reflect a space that was on their roster, but I believe the pictures online are representative and the actual space may or may not be reflected. The pictures weren’t a gross misrepresentation, however. The attached pics of our space were all taken from the same corner of the room. All the bedrooms & bathrooms were located down the entry corridor of the space. We paid about $300/night and would do it again."
