"Room 101 Tidal King The good: Check in was very easy. The woman who was at the front desk on Aug 6th was very polite and professional. The room was nicely stocked and laid out. The view of the beach was perfect and was only steps away from our door. The bad: The room smelled of must immediately upon entry. My first step in the door was a soft spot that sunk in and the windows to the room were tiny and we could not air out the smell. We had to have the door open most of the time. There are brown water spots on the bathroom ceilings. The glass shower doors do not stay closed and will open immediately after closing and the tile at the bottom was pushing out from moisture damage. There was water dripping down onto our deck from the hot tub users above us from 9pm to midnight which made it impossible to enjoy the beach from the comfort of the deck. Overall we weren't to impressed with the room for the cost."

"This is the best hotel one can experience while vacationing in the northern coastal region of Oregon. It has it all: absolutely astonishing views from each room; a beautiful deck for small gatherings while enjoying sunset or sunrise. The hotel is well-maintained, and the rooms are very spacious. We wish we could stay longer instead of merely 2 nights, so that we can also enjoy the nice Sauna room, the swimming pool, and the fire pit. The staff was friendly, and the breakfast was fast and neat. A special shout-out to the super helpful check-in lady and Anna, the lady in the kitchen. I'd recommend it to all of my friends without any hesitation."

"It was an okay property, pool and hot tub convenient . The sauna was out of order during our stay. It was a basic room, property needs updating. Breakfast was good."

"We had a top floor ocean-side view with a balcony. The view was magnificent. However, the two chairs on the balcony had bird droppings on them so we didn't use them. The carpet had stains, but was clearly vacuumed before we arrived. Because the toilet flash valve was not closed properly when we arrived, the tank water had been running for who knows how long, and the tank was empty. However, after ensuring the valve closed, the toilet flushed properly while we were there. The room temperature was just right. The shower was strong and worked well. The bed was harder than we like, but we slept well. Because the lodge was being updated, the swimming pool and hot tub were closed. The staff offered swimming at a community pool about 3 blocks away on the other side of Highway 101. We did not use it. Parking was minimal. We had to park off the lot in an overflow area. Overall, we were not unhappy with our choice of hotels."
