"We stayed in a spacious family room with a beautiful sea view. The beds were comfortable and the linens were clean; we really liked the room's location. However, we had some issues with cleanliness—the carpet was dirty, and the bathtub drain was clogged, causing water to pool during showers. Also, the edges of the tub were not clean. On the positive side, the outdoor pool was open and heated, which our daughter really enjoyed. The pool area was well-decorated and maintained. The staff were helpful and polite. As for breakfast, it was quite ordinary with limited options, but they provided cheese once we asked for it. It met our expectations but wasn't anything spectacular."

"The room was very clean and very well maintained. Plenty of hot water and the bed was enormous. Breakfast was nice and abundant "

"The cottage had everything we needed. It was really handy to have a washing machine, outside clothesline and dishwasher. Beds were very comfortable and rooms well equipped. The children loved the loft area and toys. The bathroom was spotless.Parking was really easy and we managed to park right outside every day. Location was great for what we needed."

"On arrival, gave our room key and shown entrance when pub shut how to use everything etc. Put in a room which was fine but had tape down across the floor to the bathroom. When we asked for towels, Tommy apologised and said we should not even be in that room, so he helped my husband move to a bigger and better room. Tommy could not do enough for us. Breakfast has lots of choices. You just have to ask as there's no menu. Again Tommy brilliant with service and prompt delivery. A very happy chap. Id suggest a pot of sauces on the table for breakfast as its "can we have, have you got" all the time. Tommy stood out as a fantastic member of staff always polite and worked very hard.always a pleasure. Thank you Our room was very cold at night no heating on except set times so pleased that we had a hot water bottle, but we both had to wear clothes to get warm. When spoke to other residents they said the same.(No phone in the room to call anyone) Room smelt musty so could do with maybe a freshener plug in? The bathroom needs a table or some shelves as there is nowhere to put your wash bags down apart from the floor, and im not a fan of that! There could do with maybe a few more hooks in the bathroom too. 1 on the door is not enough. The room was tired, needs a freshen up on the paint and wall paper, beds comfy, lots of wardrobe hanging spaces, mirrors. Enjoyed our stay. Reasonable price too. "

"The rooms were freezing and when we informed the manager we were told that the heating was broken. It was about 3 degrees outside that night and they didn’t even attempt to give us an electric heater or anything."

"We came to Brixham with my husband’s family to celebrate his 40th birthday, we chose Admirals because we needed 4 bedrooms, to be close to the town and a place which allowed dogs. The photos were beautiful on the website and we were looking forward to our stay. We were faced with issues straight away really.The fridge was broken and spoiled our food, we’d spent over 100 on food for the week which had to be thrown away. A replacement fridge was dropped off to the neighbour and we had to collect it ourselves, not something you want to be doing on your holidays!The dishwasher didn’t always work first time and so we had to wait hours for a cycle. Appliances should be tested before guests arrive.Housekeeping needs to be improved. The cottage needs a deep clean - especially carpets and the bathroom. I had to buy cleaning products and bleach the bath mat before I let my daughter have a shower, it was full of mould. When we alerted luxury coastal of these issues, they were unaware, although, the previous guest had left a bad review which included the same problems as we endured.The cottage itself is nice, the bedrooms were lovely, beds comfy, plenty of cupboard space, but housekeeping lets it down. "
