"Beautiful Hotel, staff couldn't have been friendlier, lovely room and the breakfast was perfect for setting us up for a gorgeous walk, restaurant was immaculate too, if I had to be ultra picky I would say I was a little disappointed the spa bath wasn't working but didn't even seem worth mentioning really, there are cheaper hotels in Ambleside, but as we all know, you get what you pay for in life, would absolutely recommend to anyone."

"The property was excellent, and as described. The rooms were clean, tidy, and ours had a view of Rydal water. The breakfast was varied and very filling! Staff were friendly at all times, and the hotel was well located to explore Grasmere and Ambleside. Only thing I would change was in the Spa, where the pool constantly had air jets going, which was noisy, and made swimming difficult. However, I realise people come for the 'bubbles', so not a big issue. "
