"Lodge was fantastic for us and our family. Great location base for us to explore the lakes. Louise was really helpful and attentive in the build up to our stay. Would definitely recommend. The only slight downside (and it is slight) was we hadn’t quite realised the set up in terms of booking the facilities on the site as all were booked by the time we got there. In order to use the pool, you’d need to have booked way in advance but that was on us. Great place, great hosts and great location. "

"We had an amazing weekend at Merewood County House.It was in a great location. Our room was huge with a great view of the lake. Everything was spotlessly clean and well set out. We had evening meals and breakfasts at the hotel and the food was excellent. All the staff were so welcoming and friendly and we couldn’t fault anything. Thank you "

"Have stayed at Briery Wood many times over the last 7 years or so. Consistently good, spotless bathrooms, fabulous breakfast and really excellent restaurant. Reasonably priced for the terrific standard. But the staff are exceptional. Friendly, professional and well trained. We like that they keep the staff on through the winter and chatting with the housekeeper found she is in her 21st year. Many of the others there 10 years +. That says a lot about a business for me. Also very dog friendly, plenty of parking and stunning gardens to walk your pooch x "
