"We thought the hotel in general and the room were amazing. We have stayed in nice hotels in different parts of the world and this was up there. The design touches all around the hotel were outstanding. What let it down (and why we reduced a star) was being charged for parking (it was not a cheap booking) and the lack of EV charging points."

"This is a fine old achool hotel, with large clean rooms, and a friendly staff. The reception rooms and bar are nice, but while we were, were totally overrun by a wedding party. The restaurant is okay. It is adjacent tobthe reception and the dinner is acceptable, but certainly not remarkable. Everything was a little overdone. The worst was the wedding, that had a performer signing full blast in the bar, and which was so loud the waiter could barely take our dinner order. It was extremely intrusive for all the other guests. The breakfast here is also very good. Suggest going to an outside restaurant if the hotel is booked out for a private event."

"Amazing stay! The hotel was clean, quiet, and beautifully maintained. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice, and all the staff were very polite, friendly, and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. The only downside was the attic loft room. It was quite small, and the sloped ceiling meant I hit my head several times near the skylight. Next time, I would prefer a standard room rather than an attic loft"
