Lovely property, ideal for a get together with friends.ni e rooms good food. Reception staff lovely, needed more var staff. Lady who served breakfast was stressed and surley, slow, and a poor reflection on the hotel.
We enjoyed the feeling of history in the main hall.
The food was good with generous portions.
We will not return due to the number of stairs to access our room.
Amazing stay were given free upgrade which was lovely stunning room everything you needed huge bathroom staff were amazing quick check in and very friendly
Stunning old building great staff lovely food will definitely be back

Lovely historic building and grounds in a peaceful location. The restaurant food is excellent and very good value for money. The tudor main hall with a gallery is very impressive. The staff were professional and accommodating.
The only thing I found a little odd is the bedroom and corridor decor which isn't in keeping with the rest of the building and in need of some refurbishment especially the carpet. However this would not stop me returning or recommending this hotel.
The staff were fantastic, couldn’t do enough. The shower had a very poor pressure.
Sadly there was no air conditioning and it was very hot. A fan would have been good.
We would certainly return.
Had a wonderful stay , when you arrive the hotel and views are amazing , a nice warm greeting from lovely receptionist, we stayed in the Queen room was beautiful & lovely views , dinner & Breakfast was so lovely , cooked with best ingredients makes a change to have such a lovely meal & service all the staff lovely , my only negative was didn’t have long another stay would have loved to stay another night was wonderful!!!!
Stayed here for 2 nights in July, very impressed with the location and grandeur of the hotel as you approach.
Room was comfortable and clean and wifi was strong in all parts of the hotel. Breakfast was cereals toast and juices and was very nice, 1 down side and this is just a one off they held a prom night and VERY loud music under my room until about 11pm but thats been and gone now and they did tell me when i checked in

Attended a wedding. Beautiful setting. Rooms just a little tired, dusty and shower head need cleaning. Bed was super comfy. Only 1 boy serving at breakfast but very helpful breakfast was very good. Just 1 miserable waitress at the wedding. Dont like bottle being placed under arm pit when serving one of other wines, carrying 3 bottle's.
THE ACCOMMODATION 1ST CLASS!
THE FOOD PRODUCED BY THE CHEF EXCELLENT!
THE SERVICE EXCELLENT!
THE WAITRESS AT BREAKFAST ANNOYED BECAUSE WE CHOSE A DIFFERENT TABLE TO THE ONE SHE HAD DECIDED WE WOULD SIT AT! ... BAD NEWS!
A very nice hotel in a beautiful area. We combined a 1 night stay with a dinner function that the hotel had advertised. The food at the Seafood Dinner was excellent. The only "issue" was that there was so much! We stayed in a suite (the only available room on the night we booked for) which was spacious and comfortable. No slippers or robes though, which suites in hotels like this often provde. The countryside around is stunning and we are keen to come back.
Amazing building and public spaces were so worth seeing and spending time in
The room we chose, the cheapest was quite small, a bit worn and we had no hot water in the morning on this occasion , overall for the price I would stay again
Lovely hotel with great service and good food Room was on the small side. Due to it's location it would be very useful if there were EV charging facilities available.
