The Space:

Sugar Hut by Tiny Away is tucked away in Colchester, a picturesque city in northeastern Essex, England. Our tiny house is situated 5 minutes from the A12, 10 minutes from the historic center of Colchester, and less than an hour from the vibrant pulse of London.



Nearby, High Woods Country Park features lush woodlands, meadows, and trails for walking and cycling. Colchester Zoo showcases an array of animals, interactive exhibits, and exciting experiences. Just a short distance away, Dedham Vale offers stunning countryside views and charming landscapes, ideal for nature walks and exploration.



A snug 252-square-foot tiny home is nestled on a 25-acre farm, surrounded by fields and woodland. It has easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, a hand basin, and gas-heated shower—making it a perfect choice among relaxing mobile homes



Guest Access:

Guests will have access to the tiny house and its surrounding areas. For safety, we recommend staying on marked paths and avoiding horses and other lodges.

Sugar Hut by Tiny Away offers a tranquil mobile home retreat, conveniently located just 10 minutes from Colchester's centre and an hour from London. Colchester, celebrated as Britain’s oldest recorded town, is famed for its historic Colchester Castle, Roman ruins, and lively High Street.



Here, you are close to some of Essex’s most popular attractions. Spend the day at Colchester Zoo, home to a wide variety of animals and interactive exhibits, or explore the stunning landscapes of Dedham Vale, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty famous for its rolling countryside and charming villages.



For those who love the outdoors, High Woods Country Park offers scenic woodland trails, open meadows, and excellent opportunities for walking, cycling, and wildlife spotting. It's the perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature during your stay.



When it comes to dining, you'll find plenty of convenient options nearby. Grab a coffee and light snack at Costa, enjoy familiar favourites at McDonald's, or order from local restaurants through Deliveroo and Uber Eats for a relaxing meal back at your tiny house.

By car:

- Pets are not allowed

- No noise after 8 PM

- No unregistered guests allowed

- Mobile phone reception has a good signal

- Smoking is not allowed in the tiny house, designated smoking area is available

- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge



Add-ons on request at an extra cost:



- A hot tub is available for use at an additional cost of £50 per night and robes are available at an additional £10.

- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property

- Keep in mind that outdoor fire pits is not available during a total fire ban

- To maintain the cleanliness and functionality of our cassette toilets. A minimum additional cleaning fee is applied for stays of 5 nights or more. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a hygienic experience during your stay.
