This spot was great! Very new, very comfortable, very clean. I am an American traveler and this hotel reminded me of what we are used to in the states. Close to lots of shopping and dinning! Would stay again!

Maldron hotel was well maintained and clean. My room was nicely appointed with a very comfortable bed. I utilized the self check in which albeit convenient was extremely impersonal. Had I not ordered room service, I would have went my entire stay without speaking to any hotel staff. Just felt like I was completely on my own there.

We were pleased with the food and a good number of the staff (there is a Portuguese gentleman who works on the main floor and he is a delight!) We enjoyed the property and amenities — especially the location. I found the bathroom layout unusual and not altogether that clever, but the showers were lovely regardless. Our main issue, and the reason for such a low score, came down to… interesting management choices. They were having work done around the property, or at least this was what we were told, which set off the fire alarms several different times. The staff were not well prepared to deal with this, and management struggled to cope with the resulting logistics (meeting guests outside, making appropriate announcements, or even removing the problematic sensors). We chose to leave because of this. When we sought a refund for the night in person, they were able to offer a majority refund, but it had to be processed with Expedia. By the time Expedia reached out to the hotel for the refunds (within two hours), the hotel then changed the story of why the alarms were going off (that in fact there was a fire and they were not liable for the fees). This dishonesty, to whatever party, ruined the relationship and our opinion of the hotel.

This hotel is a little bit out of city center, (20 minute walk) but it is located very close to a bus station which was easy to use (just pay 2 euro on the bus). No need to take an expensive taxi (which will cost you about 15 euros). The hotel is clean, the staff is super friendly, and the restaurant in the hotel was good, and reasonably priced.

This is a very nice hotel. Great location in a very quiet area.Staff members are very welcoming and willing to help. The food served at its restaurant is very delicious. I absolutely recommend it.

Area was lovely. We went to the English Market. The bartender was great. Only issue was my husband’s key never worked for the room. We had to go to the desk 3 times in our one night stay and the card never worked. Mine was great.

We arrived after a long day of travel to be told they had overbooked and we had to go to their other hotel acroos the river. Simply we are sorry and that was it. We ended up in a room with a double bed not the king bed we reserved at the original hotel. All in all disapointed.
